Cannabis Seeds
Wow thank you for taking the time to right that up. Havr you tried thr photosynthesis plus yet? Stinky stuff but i do like it. I was told by a few members that I'm prolly 2 weeks from harvest and the plant could just be using the leaves nutrients up. Any thought on this? If so I'm gonna start the flush immediately. I have measured my run off after feed and after just ph water. Everytime ive checked has been 6.2-6.5 runoff. I will look into the meters you mentioned.im running another plant side by side with it and its in dang near perfect health..nice and green same age. I've done everything the same so far. Dont know if that helps any. do you think I should just flush and ph her til harvest? thanks again for all your help.

...well, feeds will skew the run-off reading, but if you got clean water run-off and that's the pH (what is it going in BTW?) then that's encouraging,.. if you got like 5.5 or something, then even if that's not a accurate in-pot pH, it's indicative of too low pH in there regardless,...
You have a ways to go, and feeds to get in, so I'd consider the flushing,... a TDS reading is pretty much needed, otherwise you are blind in that piece of vital info,...last pour of the flush should have 1/4 str. nutes in it,... You can speed draining and drying out by placing the flushed pot on a stack of newspaper and paper towels right under the pot in contact with the bottom; this will start a wicking effect and help pull the excess water out,.. flushing has to be done fast, under 20 min. to make sure the roots don't get O2 starved and die off, starting a real shit-show!

3 gallon nursery pot with 50/50 ocean forest and happy frog. Going to 5 gallon smart pots with next plants. They are in the way in mail. I will give it a proper flush in morning. As far as the TDS meter goes. Let's say I get a reading of 300ppm or 500ppm. And it needs to be higher or lower. How do you adjust accordingly?

FF soils are dubious in general,

yep.............. Ph swings commonly reported, due to variable manufacture and variable mediums used, intermittently...........

and you don't have any Ca or Mg

cal/mag defs usually show up just after flowering starts, as the Ph of the medium begins to move upwards........ and a massive demand foe Ca, Mg, P, & K begins to increase........ if not there in medium or feeds not included enough................ cal/mag can show as a deff.........

As far as the TDS meter goes. Let's say I get a reading of 300ppm or 500ppm. And it needs to be higher or lower. How do you adjust accordingly?

A TDS meter indicates the total dissolved solids (TDS) of a solution, i.e. the concentration of dissolved solid particles.

Dissolved 'Ionized" solids, such as salts and minerals, increase the electrical conductivity (EC) of a solution. Because it is a volume measure of ionized solids, EC can be used to estimate TDS. Dissolved organic solids, such as sugar, and microscopic solid particles, such as coloids, do not significantly affect the conductivity of a solution, and are not taken into account.

Many TDS meters display the TDS in parts per million (ppm); 1 ppm indicates 1 milligram of dissolved solids per kilogram of water. it is usual when growing the cannabis, to use the measure which is "Ec".............. as most use Ec meters to control salt intake during growing,.......

An electrical conductivity meter (EC meter) measures the electrical conductivity in a solution. It has multiple applications in research and engineering, with common usage in soil cultures & hydroponics, and other freshwater systems, to monitor the amount of nutrients, salts or impurities in the water. Ec meter is best for this culture............... use on the Hanna scale, as that is the most commonly used Ec scale in culture.. ALR

Thanks guys, plant seemed to like the flush. I'll be switching pots and soils soon..this is a perpetual grow and I'm running the same 2 strains again. Difference is in not topping the plants and I've fed them both 9 days sooner with veg nutes. 17 days old. Next feed theyll get cal/mag.so hopefully I stay ahead of problems this time with new nutrients and quicker feeds. What is a good ppm range to stay at in soil grow? @Waira @AutoLowRyder

well, if you're on the BioBizz now, forget going by ppm's,.... it's a mild line-up, but given the history, start at half strength for a couple-few rounds, and ease up from there,... part of the reason why is explained above by ALR, organic sources of some nute components don't carry a charge, so don't register on the EC/TDS meter.....

What is a good ppm range to stay at in soil grow?

i start at Ec0.2 = ppm 100 to 150,(Hanna), with 100mm tall seedlings, and on a sliding scale, exponential, avoiding excess salt build up in the root matrix, swinging the grow medium Ph to strong, from mildly acidic. As a result of overfed nutrients, fed with salty alkaline tap water.

I deliver an end of flower Ec@0.9........................ if it's an indica end Ec can be as high as Ec 1.2........................as Ec0.9 is for sativa's end of grow max Ec................. drop root stim when you see flowers at 10mm.............. Ph to match Ec also on the sliding scale upwards, starting Ph seedlings @6.2 end of flower, for me wk10-12 a Final Ph7.2 and final Ec is 0.9

here is the reason why................... nutrient uptake at correct Ph'es......... if the soil temp is 22c to 24c............ never less than 20c.......................Note; (All Ec's quoted are nutrient salt measures only) Do not include base water Ec...... notice below in an acidic soil, how @Ph5.8 or below (Mildly Acidic) the Phosphorus is the first to lock out of uptake Ph range, Mg just ahead of that, between Ca & Mg, there is a Ph switch over zone....... addendum; when seedlings first are whetted, in a 5ltr pot, used to select the final individuals.......... put the light you are going to use for the whole grow "Duel Spectrum" HPS or LED............... over the buried seeds, at a height above germ pot top that gives 18 to 21c........ at pot top................. and 18,000 to 25,000 "Lux"......... 8,000 to 10,000 lux is needed for minimum growth..........

Accordingly, the buried seed detects the UV & IR from above, and moves to that beat.................... once emerged, germ'ed, to the cotyledon leaves +2 fans, drop the light to 24-25c at plant seedling top, this nullifies, prevents stretch to a weak light source, making the seedling fall over from stretch with low light.......
