Lighting Gas Lantern technique

I'm a newbie at this. Has anyone heard of the Gas Lantern Technique? and is it worth the effort with autos? compared with using 24hr light for seedlings, reducing to 18/20hr light as the plants grow

From what I've heard it isn't worth it for photos or Autos. Never tried just read bit on it...and it doesn't make a lick of sense in the real world.

Whats the gas Lantern technique?It sounds like providing a type of light at the same time or instead of the sun or CFL's or anything of the like?...

well instead of a gas lantern being used,couldnt one use a basic CFL styled lantern with low Lumens,or higher depending.Interesting to say the least.Id love to see someone with some experiance in growing try it anyway.I think it could be pretty cool just to have it tested either way i think.Arent the plants at their 100% mark in the mornings as far as their max THC for that strain?does sound interesting though.

The word hermie gets brought up a lot when that technique is talked about. Always interested in saving money though.
