Hi everyone! Need some advice if I f'ed up my seeds or not... Had 4 seeds germinating in paper towel method though this time instead of waiting for a substational root to show I put them on their 1 liter airpots as soon as I saw the seed cracked and a very very small root tip exposed on the cracked end... I took a pen a made a small "hole" in the dirt, now this is where I think I went wrong.. The hole was aprox 3/4" to 1" deep... I just plopped each seed in there And and put some dirt over the hole loosely... The 4 baby's have been under the blackstar 240led (12" from top of pot) almost two days ago.. Still no signs of them comming out of the soil... Did I put them to deep?and if so will they still possibly eventually pop up above the soil?

YES giv them the time,,i alwas grow in soil. u mayby dropped the seed in a bit early but it should still reach for the light. Keep the faith bro lol.....:smokebuds:

im still waiting for mine to pop up but i have faith that they will i just know im one man who hates waiting...hopefully itll feel alot easier on my 2nd grow and being autos wont feel as long. Ive got 1 more week till i chop my liberty haze then a week drying...by then i expect my autos to be at a size where the 600w can get on em as the tent will be empty

Yodabuds, be patient. It can take up to 10-12 days, even longer, for them to pop.

Also, turn your light off untill they break the soil. Save some money and you wont dry out the soil as quick.

Spray the soil if its gets dry, then wait.

Hey yoda :smokebuds:

The biggest thing I've found to influence the speed of seed germination (given proper soil moisture) is the temperature of the soil. If you have a meat thermometer, place that in your soil. I've had the best luck germing seeds when my soil temperature is between 78-80 degrees F.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! This being my first grow in over 9years(had a 400watt setup in an open room back than, and that was only one grow) I don't remember the small things... Though, I do remember and should be practicing to let the babies be and do there thing... I just get a bit impatient;) peace!

I don't wait for a long taproot either. There's no reason to. All you have to do now is take care of the temperature and moisture. You don't even need the light on until they break soil.

The ganja gods must be rooting for me and my ladies! The Auto Kush, Green-o-matic, and the Auto NLxSweet tooth have all popped through the dirt! The blueberry which was planted one day later than the other ones is still hiding, I am so excited that they have come up this soon! Let' the show begin!

Nervous as I can be! Dropped 72 NL x AK auto autos in pro-mix last night, put the tray on a start mat and went to bed... When I woke up and checked on them my soil temp was 91 deg. F ! Have it stabilized @ 81-82 now but did I cook them? I'm going to have bleeding ulcers by day 10!
This my first post ever anywhere ever. I've grown a couple of times ;) but never had a seedlings heat mat hit those temps before... Anyone with experience on this? Much love and appreciation.
