2015 grow diary

Hello Afnetwork this is my grow journal featuring the hs1 & ms0006 in a 1.2m* tent. Its not going to be a accurate comparison grow between the lights but will give a insight on how the hs1 stacks up compared to the old lights. In this journal I will be using 4x15lt airpots to grow 4 photo period strains, one I have already chosen is "The Edge" by DP the other 3 I haven't decided but would like suggestion before I start in 2 weeks so let me know what you would like me to grow. (Any strain I'm open to growing but two quick indicas & another sativa to go with the edge is what I'm looking for)

Once plants reach between 6-8weeks veg I'll be switching to flower, I will probably do a in depth(ish) update every week with pictures and information on the plants growth.

I would like to see you grow Aurora Indica from Nirvana seeds. I think you would like that one very much, Its Northen Lights and Afghan.

I'm a proud MS0006 owner and can't wait to see how you rock it with the HS1 aswell!

Have you grown 4 photos in that space before? It may get a little crowded in there with 6-8 weeks veg. (just a heads up)

I can get one 6-8 weeks vegged photoperoid in my 60x60cm space and it gets a bit crowded (with one ms0006)
I grew out Girl Scout Cookies (from Cali Connection via Attitude) beginning of last year and i'm still smoking it! Has been one of my best plants to date. (no journal on that one - sorry, got a bit distracted)

Very nice bro and welcome to AFN,may I suggest DPs Blue Velvet and Outlaw? Both beautiful strains and would be HUGE with 8 weeks veg.

Thanks for the suggestion peps Aurora indica sounds good and blue velvet, I've already had a look at the outlaw so might have to add that to the collection. Girl Scout cookies I'll have a look at, I've heard it to be quite good. I'll be placing my order when I have chosen so keep the suggestion coming if you got em.

@blue I have grown out some plants in this tent and four seems perfect, I will be scroging them so that will help use space more productively. My last grow was with a 400w hps/w ms0006 and 2 days shy of 6 weeks veg filled the tent with a little room here and there so that's what I'm looking to fill with the extra week or so.

I had an outlaw vegged for 6 weeks and It filled my 1.2m2 room under 2 MS0006, I think 4 weeks veg for the 4 will fill the room after stretch.

Would this still go the same if I topped the plants to get more tops and maybe the odd supercrop here and there ? Thanks for the help.

oh and I just had a look for a diary for the outlaw but couldn't find one did you document your grow of outlaw on this site ?

Hey Tang...you cant compare YOUR grows to others...you are a freak of nature when it comes to growing...lol... what YOU do in 4 weeks the rest of us need 1 or 2 more weeks to do or even more.... lol

Hey Qupid,

do you find when looking at your HS1 from a side profile your light sits at a slight angle leaning more towards the diffuser end of the led?
Tang is using different hangers to the standard ones supplied so wanted to see if you had the same experience.

Wondering if its caused by the hangers or the weight distribution in the unit itself.

Hi puffman thanks for stopping by and YES i did have difficulties hanging the light straight, mine would reach up where the power cord is and took some fiddling with to get it right. I think its to do with the hangers it comes with, it didn't look even just like someone estimated what was even then clamped it there... (This problem went away when i hung from two different points apposed to one though) Not ideal but no biggie either, id of preferred the ms0006 ones since you could adjust the height a little.
