Hi guys,

same old story long time lurking first time posting!
Read so much stuff on here and all over the net and really have been doing some planning, so I don't waste money or time... but I still have a few questions

my plan is to grow so i can help my medical condition. I am fed up with all the chemicals the doctors keep giving me for crohns disease that I suffer from.

-So I have a space of 1m x 1m and about 8ft high.
-the ceiling has a hole already cut for an exhaust fan.
-I plan to use a passive intake
-the room is cold at times so will need a small heater to keep temps up
-nutes? not 100%

-LIGHTING: GNMs0006 Will this be too much for the space I have?
-Using a carbon filter I will be blowing the extracted heat/air to the ceiling will the temps be too high from the room direct to the ceiling? I would like to go back in to the building but it's not easy explaining a constant draft coming from a certain area..unless you guys have any suggestions?

NOW... this is something I read and please don't gun me down if I am completely off BUT.. could I blow the extracted air directly in to a bucket of water? or a barrel? It may make a bulbing noise but would it get rid of the air/heat without anyone realising?

Finally how many plants would you put in this space with these lights in order to maximise yield? More than likely use Northern Lights or White Widow Autos in coco

waiting for replies and input guys

thanks in advance

Hi teflon

Welcome to AFN! :)

All sounds good mate!

It wont be too much for that space :) I have an ms0006 in 60cm x 60cm - you could probably fit 2 in there if you wanted! :)

That will be fine - infact it will add any heat coming from the cab to the room meaning you wont have to heat it so much. Although the MS0006 give off next to no heat.

4 x 10 litre pots should be lovely in that space.

Hey - why not pop up a "hello" over at introductions for a nice warm welcome from our members! :)

Happy growing

Blue ^_^

Thank you Blue and TaNG

so you think due to the low heat from the lights and just a heater running the temps would not increase the loft temperature too much - so that stick out compared to the rest of the building?

Also, would it be better to runnning autos in this space for 60/70 days low odour and high yielding or a regular feminised seed for 90 days to produce a bigger yield?

I guess I know the answer, but your opinions would be appreciated

You've got absolutely no worries there mate. I can literally touch the light diodes ... not that I would *hides from TaNg* :)

That something for you to decide really.

I like auto because they're done in 10 weeks, and it means i can try a lot of variety. Each plant generally gives me more than i can smoke in the time it takes to replace it.

If you're growing for personal and medical use - I believe there are some medicinal benefits to Autos (perhaps i remember reading somewhere the higher CBD ratio - i might be making this up, best to check in the medical section with Mossy and the medical activists )

Yeild --- I just don't know anymore - we've got a chap here currently on track to grow a 1000g (dried) auto. Personally, i couldn't pull those numbers if i were to veg a photo period all year long lol

hope this helps a little

Thanks Blue

did you think about exhausting in to a bucket or water or a barrel?

So it just produces bubbles? no heat or smell?

is this just a silly idea or do you think it could work?

A CHAP! A CHAP! What sort of way is that to refer to The King....

Dutch Passion Seed Company (Masters at Work) genetics do have the ability to yield large given the right conditions.....

Well .. I'm not sure. I can see a couple of issues. Airflow restriction - as it hits the bucket of water, I'm guessing it will hit resistance which means that you will have to make your out take fan work harder to get the air exchange you need in the cab. (costing more money for a better fan than you really need - and more in ellecy costs)

There's also the need to have a bucket of water laying around- that wouldn't work for my circumstances.

I would concentrate more on getting rid of the smell - that will more likely be the give away! :) get a good out take and carbon filter (it's not worth cutting costs there)

Lol Mr Jorilla!

I can't keep name dropping you!! I'll look like a right  haha

.. but yes Teflon - go check out Mr Ganjamotos threads - he's ridiculous (-ly gooood!)

 :d5:

Thanks again

just need to get things organised now!

I was a bit worried about the temp of the ceiling being higher than other ceilings in the area and standing out should it be frosty or snowy etc?
do you think these LEDs would have any affect on that.. also with blowing out the added heat from the heater that will be running?

I have 8 small air vents around the loft space (round circle air vents about 2 inches across and 2 air bricks.. i think these would allow sufficient airflow to reduce any heat leaking out?

sorry for all the questions!
