Lighting GN Rebel serie!

I am actually a bit confused by this replacement as the new module appears to be far more powerful than the original. The original is 15 leds and the replacement is 30 leds! If they are only operating the leds at 1/2 power it is ridiculously expensive as it would only be 25 watts. The power supplies in the light have a maximum of 31 watts output so I dont see how they can run the new modules at full power!?

Nice friendly first post....welcome to AFN. It looks like I'm gonna get close to getting 2 grams per Watt from them so the proof of there performance will be there as for your comments about the cost it's been discussed time and time again in this thread.

It's nice they keep making improvements and updates but just like Apple and the I-pod as soon as you update theres another one soon to follow.Just a way to keep money coming in from older buyers and new buyers as well."My 2 cents"

I disagree I my eyes it's to keep the MS units up to date...if they were the original spec they wouldn't be able to boast top bit chips and if you discover a better spectrum and it's easy to apply to the standard lights why not give the customers that? Your to sceptical Nammy not all companies are just out for your money.

I'm not bashing GN and I did say it was good that there updating them and are not just selling old outdated products like a lot of companies are. I commend them for this and maybe somtime down the line I will update my ms0006.

Hi All, ive just read over this whole thread about the new rebel modules plus have been talking to Dan about these aswell.

My input is that I can clearly see myself that GN wont make hardly,if any profit from making and distributing these, even though they are expensive, the cost of making them etc... is very high.
So GN are, in my opinion, releasing these for pure scientifical advancement purposes only and not for profit.

Its a brave move for them, but had to be done and hats off to GN for doing it.
Especially with the results that are shown on here from using them, hats off to Tang also.

Its not always about money innit? but scientifical advancement, especially in the medical world.
Now that's amazing what they are doing with LED's nowadays.

So I wish Dan & GN the very best for this module & looking forward to seeing more fantastic results, just gutted I cant sample the results aswell!

Peace All.
