I had a strain called Atonic made by Nine Fold genetics. It tested at 19% CBD and less than 1% THC. I never did make oil out of it but I would smoke it and not really be satisfied. And cookies it was OK. But I would mix it with death star, 50-50, and make my meds out of them. Was great pain, relief, and motivational at the same time. I have since lost both plants. I have tried to pop some old Atonics that I had with no luck.
So I personally do like CBD strains, but I do have to mix them with THC. I did make crosses with Atonic x THC strain and I really liked them. There’s literally thousands and thousands of packs floating around if you find one that’s been taken care of try them out.
And several of my friends do like the straight up Atonic. Thanks, DBJ.
This follows right in line with my own experience and feedback from others

The two together generally work better than either alone,... what it comes down to is more about the ratios, which usually one has to tinker with to explore and see what works best, using whatever ya got in bud and/or other supplements.
And even so, unless one actually tests their plant, the ratio is still just a guess. Somebody (another forum) a while back did some deeper research into this; seems most CBD/THC crosses hover around 2:1 - 1:2, give or take...it's the normal expression. The actual amount (%'s) produced is a big part too.
I've tried a few CBD/THC auto cultivars so far. The best two were a pheno of Honey Peach CBD and a mate's repro' of Dinafems CBD HazeXL.
Vidamints (Twenty20Mendo) was ok. but felt a bit weak and I didn't like the aroma much...
HPCBD I ran twice more but got pheno's so far off the first it was ridiculous! Seriously, that first one was tops, amazing aroma too, excellent effects; the other two were sorry examples in comparison...
A side note: Sadly, this confirmed something that myself and other long time Sweet Seeds lovers have suspected after getting some really shoddy stuff from them in more recent years

,... I dunno WTF is going on with Sweet, but several cultivars have been showing to be nothing like what the were in the past, and all in the negative direction.
Anyway, when the chemistry is there, I find the effects to be "buzz-lite" with very good pain relief! It helps cut down on NSAID's use and together with them, pain relief went up a couple notches better still

...Naproxyn + CBD/THC bud was better than either alone as well, no surprise, as that's coming at the pain from multiple levels, and they seemed to play well together (no anti-synergistic effects)...
