Hey everyone! Researching and preparing for my first grow! After looking at a lot of different options, I came across this company.

www.hydroponicsgroup.com/

I was wondering if anyone has ever used their products before, and if so, would you recommend it? The cabinet that I am leaning towards is the Budster.

From the videos that they have, the boxes look well made and the company really did their homework on stealth growing. The only negative I can see is that they are a little pricey. Any input is welcomed and I appreciate the help! Thanks!

Holy moly that's expensive! I think that 12 plants is unrealistic for that footprint, 6 would be accurate. They do look like really nice boxes, but the price is absolutely insane. Hell, I've got woodworking tools enough to make something similar, maybe I'll go into business haha.
My advice is to hit thrift stores and flea markets hard and find a cabinet of some kind that is big enough to fit plants, lights and ventilatinion inside. Then put all the hardware, and lining in yourself, probably run you under $600 depending on how fancy you get. My first several grows we're in a 4' high 2' deep 3' wide armoire that was great for three plants.
If you dig around you'll find grow boxes made out of dressers where people made the drawer face into one big door.

^fully agree id get someone to build you a fake stealth room for that price

or stick a grow tent in a plywood box

Yea I will definitely follow your advice and look around for a cabinet or armoire. I like the concept of it because I do not have the room or privacy to set up a grow room. The price is pretty steep and the whole purpose of growing is to cut costs down. I'll keep looking around and start becoming familiar with power tools and the like haha. Thanks for the help and if you find yourself in the grow cabinet biz let me know!

Here's my first grow journal with a good doors open pic of my first box. I rigged up a cfl hood with a wooden frame, power strips, and aluminum from a dryer vent kit probably like $80. An 80cfm 1.5 sone bathroom fan $90 (super quiet) I later attached a can 2600 carbon filter because of odor $60, the liner materials from home depot $40.

If I had it to do again, I would have sprung for size appropriate LEDs rather than cfls and a decent inline fan because sound isn't that important to me and that fan took a bit of duct tape and rigging to work well. Not to toot my own horn but that grow journal gets into a lot of specifics, as well as a lot of things gone wrong, probably worth a read through to see what happens in a first grow.
