Indoor Grow Journal: Auto White Widow & Auto Amnesia Haze (Closet Grow)

Is your ballast separate from your bulb?
if it is you may be able to put it outside the room.
Yeah its already outside the grow closet. Think I will just keep a nice distance between them for now and when they are a little bigger and hardier I can experiment with moving the light closer.

Day 13 Update

Just got home from work and I am dead but I thought I would squeeze in an update before I crash. So the girls are looking good and healthy. New leaves are developing all the time. While I was taking some update pics I noticed on one of the Amnesia Haze may be showing her sex, Im not sure if it is or if I'm just getting over excited and jumping the gun. I'm new to this so excuse me if its just some new leaves coming through haha. I have take a pic so maybe someone can help. Don't mind if its not sexing yet it will only be a matter of time.

And here are a couple of close ups of Amnesia haze 1.

Cruising along, Prof :) Mz. Haze #1 isn't showing her girly parts, imo.. Looks like nodal leaf sets. But, I've been smoking WW all morning, and trimming like a crosseyed barn owl... lol

Yeah I agree, im just so damn impatient haha

Day 15 Update

Its a new week and a new update. Everything is chugging along nicely and there are no major issues to report. All the girls have now developed 5 finger leaves and are pretty close together in terms of growth. Amnesia Haze 1 is a little ahead of the others but thats not surprising as she popped first. New nodes are appearing all the time, Im just anticipating something going wrong as everything has been going so smoothly so far. Its getting close to being feeding time for the girls, they are in soil that is hot for 3 weeks so by the end of the week I will be adding grow nutes. Just ordered my nutes this morning, got plagron Alga grow and Alga bloom. I decided to stick with the plagron products as their soil has seen me good so far. I have also finally bought a thermometer that I can leave in the closet instead of using my phone haha. I have been following some other growers on the forum who have been growing Dinafem Auto White Widow and have noticed that nearly all of you folks have had calmag deficiency issues so I thought it wise to go ahead and buy some calmag as well. Hopefully I will get all my things by the end of the week and I will be ready to start adding nutes by next Monday. Here are some pics of the girls.

Since introducing the frozen water bottles to the closet I have been able to maintain the temp at between 27-28 degrees with a humidity around 55-60%.

They're growing great, Prof :) Absolutely, my Dina AWWs all had/have a distinct hunger for cal/mag. I attribute it to the LED light-as the top leaves within 8-12 inches of the light seem to get rust spotted first.. Glad to see its all going well!

I was thinking it might be due to the LED lights too, as everyone I looked at was growing under them. Maybe it wont happen to mine as its only under HPS but its always good to be prepared just in case. Don't want to see the signs of calmag deficiency then have to wait for an order to be delivered especially as the post around here is pretty hit and miss.

Always best to have cal mag juice around :) I did notice on this run of AWW-I use Aurora roots organic nutes, vs. AN soup last run- that the cal mag def was minor compared to the previous grow, and it was week 7 before it presented. The Aurora program uses a surface feed powdered cal mag. I skipped it once, and the def showed up in two days! HPS should be better for you, but I'd add a light dose starting at week 5 or 6.

Just caught up on your journal Prof. You're off to a great start man, keep it up. Subbed in :)
