Indoor Grow Journal: Auto White Widow & Auto Amnesia Haze (Closet Grow)

Seedlings can take the humidity, so 70-80% isn't over the top. thecuch makes a great point with using soda bottles for humidity domes- should provide a near instant humidity bump. 55% isn't parched by any means, but I try to keep my little girls at 70-75%, at least when I can control it to that extent.

How long would you keep the bottles on them? A week or so? or just until they are too big for the bottles?

Once you have a 2nd leaf set, and its growing nicely, then the roots will be established enough to let the plant handle "normal" humidity.

Ok cool. I will do it tonight and then they should only need it for a couple of days before the second set are out nicely. They are starting to show now.

waxi is on point:check:i use a brownie pan to germ it has a lid, so I can set humidity levels, just from spraying a little water in there.:grin:
humidity for very small seedlings should be in the 70 to 80% range here is a pic... DSC_0046.jpg:tiphat:

Just did a quick search for this:

OptimalHumidity:

  • 80 - 90% rH for rooting clones and cuttings (high humidity is a must as these new plants may not have roots to draw moisture through).
  • 70 - 80% rH for seedling growth.
  • 60 - 70% rH for vegetative growth.
  • 40 - 60% rH during flowering (lower rH helps to reduce the risk of fungal contamination on your already moist dank buds).

Hope this helps

So I just got home from work and got to work on the girls. Taking your advice about the humidity I have put some bottles over them. I hate Coke so I went for water bottles instead lol. Today is day 8 from sprouting so I took some pics before doming them (Still with a shitty camera).

Amnesia Haze 120140915_182117.jpgShe is a little behind the other two in terms of second leaf growth but she has been sitting furthest from the light. So its her turn in the middle now.

Amnesia Haze 220140915_182149.jpgAlthough she was the last to pop coming 36 hours after the others she has now caught up in height and leaf development.

White Widow20140915_182248.jpgI unstaked her a few minutes ago and was amazed to see how much stronger her stem has become. Standing straight and true now.

So here are all three sitting under their bottles. As they are covered now I have cranked the fan up to hopefully bring the temperature down another couple of degrees. 20140915_182511.jpg

Hopefully they will perk up a bit over the next few days and wont herm on me. Please ganja gods be kind.
