Hey everyone I'm starting my second grow long due to my first one not going well do to me having to leave town. Below I will post up pics of my girls and my equipment. The problem I'm having is some twisting on the bottom leafs not so much on the new one but the problem I'm having still is some droopy leafs so not sure if it over or under water. I haven't really given them a whole lot of water as of right now the soil is dry about 2 in down and I gave them one small dose of nutrients for seedlings.

Equipment

Tent- 4x4x6 Virtual sun
Light hood- Sun System 600 watt yeild master
Ballston- 600 watt hydrofarm xtrasun
light bulbs- 600watt mh plantmax 7200k 600watt hps plantmax 200k
intake fan- 4 in hurrican fan
out take fan- 6in with carbon 400 carbon filter
Grow pots- 4 5 gallon smart pots
Soil- promix hp
nutrient- all bonticare purebred grow, bloom soil, calmag, sweet grape, hydro guard
ac united-8000 btu

Seedling from back left to right then front left to right are
Pyramid purple, vision lowryder, nirvana bubbleicious, barneys blue mammoth

My tent is at a temp of 75-80f and Humidity is 50-70

the purple and blue mammoth are both 2 weeks old today the other two are a week old. In the photos I made a mistake the one that says bubbleicious is actually blue mammoth.

my main concern is the leafs flopping I give my two week Olds 1 and half cup of water each time every 4 days. Water ph is at 6.4-6.6 and my soil when I took some of the most soil mixed with water and tested was 6.2. Any feed back would be great thanks everyone in advanced.

They look dry to me.You need to give them more water so the entire pot is moist all the way to the bottom. At there stage they are sending tap roots down very fast and if they hit dry spots they will get stunted so my advise is to water the entire pot so you get runoff out the bottom of the pots.

Yea just gave them second week of light nutes took 10 cups of water before run off so I guess they were for sure dry. I was to worry of over watering them at a young age I ended up not giving them enough. They should be able to recover quickly and I don't think promix has nutes in it if it does its not much.

Anyone grow any of these strain curious on your yeild?

Pro Mix used to have some starter nutes but I believe they have stopped putting them in. So some mild, 1/8 strength nutes are needed right from the start. You may find that the HP dried out a bit too fast under HPS lights. Next time get the BX instead. It hold a little more moisture than the HP does.

Thanks for the info I think next time I'll used coco. The blue mammoth now fist and second set of leafs are curling under so I'm think that's from over watering if I'm correct so I'll have to wait a few days see what happens. My soil is 6.2ph when I tested it the other day so I don't think it's a ph problem.

The question I have is how much top soil needs to be dry before I water again till run off appears?

I have used promix bx exclusively for years. I have never run hp but I typically don't let the top dry out like a lot of people recommend. I like to keep the soil a little moist, not completely soaked but nice and moist. If the top is drying out then I find it is difficult to get the peat moist again. Peat naturally repels water so once it is dry, it makes it very difficult to get wet again.
