Grow Mediums Grow one with Truu.

Hey truu: is it possible to see some pics of your setup (res, pump, manifold)
Im really liking how it looks...and Ive been doin alot of research for this type of drip system. Thanks.

Great to have you back my brother  I am a little late but here to witness the awesomeness of your skills and setup my friend :pighug: Much love :Sharing One:

Hello cuch, I will answer your ?'s with this post, thanks for asking, glad I can help anyone, anytime.

Hey there Dub! Glad to have you along brother. Hope all is well.:Cheers::Sharing One:

Hello AFN friends. Tonight I've got some free time so, better time than ever to sit down, hit the vaporbong and let the words flow off the ol' finger tips "AFN smoke out". So I guess 2 days ago marks 3 weeks for the girls. I kept the girls defoliated every day since my last update. The lower branches are just now starting to reach the screen. Once this lower bunch of branches reaches the screen I plan to flower. I dont have much room left with the footprint of my lights, so I cant actually allow my screen to fill all the way (one day). This week I actually got to do some training with the plants and the screen. Moved some of the taller branches outward and towards the middle. I predict after this next week the screen with be pretty full as far as my light footprint goes.

They seem to be showing me some signs that they are ready to bump up their nutrient strength and also feeding times. I'm thinking of trying to go with 4 feeds a day but with longer durations. Possibly try doing 4 times a day for 90 seconds. The pots are beyond filled up with roots right now and they are sucking down some water. Right now I go through 17 gallons in 7 days. So in the near future it looks like I will be doubling that lol. :d5:.

Tomorrow I will make a new batch of nutrients and bump the PPM up to 720, and lower the feedings to 4 times a day for 90 seconds. Still feeding grow, silica, calmag, epsom salt, roots. PH stays at 5.8. Temps are staying at 84f at lights and 75 at pots. Lighting schedule is still 24/0. I will be giving a good flush during tomorrows res change, possibly with some clearex to remove salts if need be.

In my pics you can see my pump in my res. My res is just a 19 gallon rubbermaid tote. Out of my pump I have a 2' riser with my manifold attached. It is a 12 port manifold but I will be buying a new 8 port soon. If you have any other questions about my watering system or my table feel free to ask. I've got it all detailed scattered throughout some of my old threads.

Everyone take care, have a good weekend. It is going to be a beautiful one here. I will be feasting on flounder this weekend, the best fish in the marsh!

Truu...ur a good man. TY.
What size pump r u using? And...
Is it possibe to "T" off any of those drip lines and go from 12 to 24?

Are there any advantages to dripping 24/7 insted of delayed thru out the day?

Truu looking perfect brother!! :d5: I bet your girls are loving the cold front too.. it's like we're in cali or something lol.

Hey cuch, I have a 230 gph pump I use with my 8 plants, never gone any higher than that so I have no clue how many plants it can handle, honestly I dont think it could do much more. I wouldnt advise using a T to go to other plants. I like a dedicated line to each plant so they all get the same amount of pressure from the pump. I dont drip my plants 24/7, i do multiple small feedings a day, I have no experience with a 24/7 drip system. There are many advantages to multiple feedings a day using a system like mine.

Hey Jay thanks bro. Ya this cold front is nice, the plants arent bothered by it, my grow room keeps temps perfect. Tomorrows gonna be a beautiful day enjoy it bro!

Howdy AFN. Took a gander at the girls tonight and MY OH MY the screen filled up in a matter of days. I've never done a scrog before so kinda just wingin' it for now. My plan is to let the branches grow verticle a little more before I flip to flower. Everything below the screen at this point must be trimmed because I no longer need any new branches in the screen to prevent over crowding (its probably over crowded already). SO I'm thinking I may flip to flower at the end of the week. I guess everything has been right on schedule this far. This particular pheno of this strain is fairly fast flowering I could harvest at 6 but to my liking I let it go 8 for a good flush.

So it looks like me upping the amount of watering to 1 min for 6 times a day has REALLY increased their growth a dozen fold. These girls have been going absolutely nuts for the past 3 days. Im getting really jittery over here, trying to hold off of switching to flower as long as I can. There really is a small window to flip to flower with this setup. Go to long and they grow to tall and over crowd, go to fast and I lose on my efficiency. Either way, I find its just best to let things work themselves out. The world always seems to take care of itself and me trying to change anything just seems to make things more difficult.

Take care, I will update again at the next res change. And I will also be flipping to flower. SMOKE A FAT ONE!!! :stylez rasta smoke:

Whats up guys . Today I actually had the day off, so I figured now would be a good time for me to share a little something about mama mental floss.

Its hard to see the resemblence in them now because of the scrog. But I can tell you that the structure is almost identical between them. In her 4th week of flower the buds start to turn purple. And over time towards the end of flowering they will be more of a blueish color, but not really robust. Her bud structure reminds me of blueberry's a little. Very dense compact buds with alot of foxtailing at the end. The smell is not very strong on the plant. Her smell was a very faint blueberry, but you had to be walking behind her to smell it lol :brow:. One thing that really sold me on this plant is that all the way down all of her buds were solid. Even the ones that got hardly any light, they were still solid buds. Trimming was fairly easy and I think It took me about 6 hours to trim.

The buds cured out nicely. Between a 2 week smoke and a 3 month smoke there was very little difference. The buds smelled of a very nice blueberry candy with some incense and chocolate mixed in. The smoke was very nice in the head and in the body, a perfect 50/50. It did a great job of relaxing my back after a nice day of work. But at the same time she also gave me a very creative buzz, and if need be I could dose myself up and really pass out for a good nights sleep.

Another very nice reason for growing her is the fast flowering time. This plant was ready to harvest in 75 days (thats quick for me). Some plants I let go a little longer only for a good flush, but between the 10 day flushed, and 3 day flushed plants, there was no difference in smoke or taste (yay vaporizer :jump:). The buds were nice and dense, and dried out nicely, I think it took me close to 2 weeks before I put them in jars. Hopefully these next plants will have all positive upgrades, and only be a better version of the one I loved. I know I've been rambling of the past for to long now lol. Everyone take care and have a great cold weekend. I will probably do an update of the girls this weekend as well. Its getting mighty close to flowering time :ama:.
