Seed Bank Growers Choice Seeds - An ongoing review

...yeah, that cycle time thing,... Folks don't realize that most of the auto's these days are breed to be fast, like 8-10 weeks fast,.... but there are auto's, especially during early development, that may take weeks longer in veg' before they switch over to bloom... I think the driving force for this is that if an auto takes 3+ months to finish, you might as well have run a photo'!
Poor breeding, too early in filial generations, and the rush to market can see these throw-backs show up on a regular basis...

I see a large pheno variation with lots of breeders that many people love and there are plenty of good quality autos but only a handful are really repeatable I use to see this more with photos but more photo breeders are more stable with those lines bc of how long they have had them atleast as you stated the good ones. I hope to see the autos follow the same trend but hopefully more rapidly.

:smoking: Me too, and pheno' stability can only go so far when dealing with seeds (always a genetic remix, even with fem'ing) and what are nearly all poly-hybrid strains. One thing I like about Sweet and Mephisto is that they offer up specifics about the F-generations, plus with a lot of grows of a given strain, we can see for ourselves how they vary-.... After talking with and following some Indie breeders here, one can see just how difficult it can be so make something even half way stable! No small amount of good luck is involved, and one must have that Magic Eye to spot the right pheno's to work with and the fortune to get them. FullDuplex and his Anvil line were an amazing story here, and a perfect case in point. He had all stars line up for him, and was able to get things locked down very fast and then was able to work pheno's into new directions, years ahead of schedule IMO! If you guys haven't poked around his section (Mandalorian Genetics), it's a great read!

I think you know that I’m in the @FullDuplex / Mandalorian Genetics fan club. I’ve grow somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen Anvils... aside from size related to amount of medium grown, they are virtually identical in appearance, smell, effects, and yield consistency. Never seen this before. Every other cycle will have Anvil in the mix!

I have a cross of Alf reg x cdlc reg and lots of others that I've made and to be honest I like the regs better in most cases I got more consistent and better terps. Ur best bet is to run a handful in 1gals or even smaller to run a bunch and see that's wat I do it also allows u to stress test them I've had one do some shit like that I think it pulled double recesive traits for that one and I had MBAP's turn herm easy in late flower but that was a specific pheno the rest seem fine.

:smiley1: Ju
I had trouble with germination also. 1 of 3 didn't germinate and their BS to get replacement is not worth the $$ or hassle. Won't be buying from them again either.

:smiley1: Just an update. I sent them a picture of the one CK that did germinate and they offered to either give me a credit or reship the seeds if I pay shipping. I doubt if I will take them up on either option.

Chopped and drying here are my final feelings (this is going to be some good vape as I tested 1.5 weeks ago). This is why I won't buy any of their Autoflowers: the flowering. An auto should flower without any intervention and individual strains should flower at roughly the same time if they sprouted at the same time. So that is my take on why I won't use Growers Choice Seeds>out:gassy1:
