Indoor Growing Scrog

Hey all,

Quick check-in on my Auto Glueberry OG from Dutch Passion. She’s on day 90 now and I was hoping to start the flush, but trichomes are still mostly clear. A few are turning cloudy, but no amber yet, so I’m holding off for now, any tips on the perfect moment to start flushing are welcome 🙂

Started feeding light (EC around 1.1) and letting her finish at her own pace. She pushed through some issues earlier in the run — bit of lockout, some EC swings, broken branches — but came back strong. Buds are looking nice and frosty, smell is getting real loud too.

Not aiming for the crazy 1kg harvests you sometimes see here, added 2 Temu 50w quantumboards for under canopy light – but if I hit 500–600g dry, I’m really happy for a first time autoflower grower.Learned a lot and I’m ready to dial it in even more next round.

Once I see more cloudy and a touch of amber, I’ll hit her with Flawless Finish. I’m in rockwool so the flush should be quick when the time comes.

Will post some trich shots. Appreciate all the knowledge and support around here ✌️

Very nice and I love the name Super Fruit to.

I've just moved two of Dutch Passions Lemon Kix into the tent day 7. I've cultivated these before but not 420 style. These are going to be so filthy and just right for the scrog. :jointman:
Thank you Deano!
The breeder actually wanted to name it 420autoflower but I didn’t know if I should put my name on it until I knew it would be worthy. I ended up scrogging a couple with the 420 method and grew a two more in a SOG and they all turned out nice.
Hope to see your Lemon Kix soon. 😉

She can be rather slow to turn into flowering with some phenotypes mate, these are usually the biggest highest yielding ladies :growing:

Looking at the pictures it seems she is about to start flowering, so maybe wait one/two more weeks?
If then nothing happens I would say induce 12/12, but hope it will not be needed!

Thanks 420, and Antonio! Pistils achieved.

420, should I strip leaves now to bring her to a state similar to a photo that I saved of one of your grows -- the second photo attached?
Or let her bud sites get a little bigger?

She’s looking good brother.
I don’t think she needs a full schwazz just yet but I would keep plucking the top fan leaves on the main cola sites.
Are you running GH Floralicious in your reservoir?

Hi mate

do you have a breeder ljnk for Super Fruit to. BTW - that pic doesnt even look real
Hello there!
Sorry, no link for a website.

Fantastic job @Zuener!
What is the size of her canopy? Can we get an overhead shot of the top to see the full canopy and the amount of colas she’s supporting.
Looks like she’ll be well over a pound brother. :eyebrows:

I don’t flush my plants and I harvest when the bottom buds are dense.

No, but I'll order some today. Thanks 420. Do you use it in addition to GH Bloom? If yes, what percentage of each?

I went ahead and schwazzed her, or at least a start -- working from one of your photos as a guide.
Still a little dense in her lower half, I'll fix that. ... She got away from me. I had hoped to do the full 420 on her,
but her stems started going from pliable at the latest node, to rigid as a mighty oak, previous node, when she was a baby.
I tried every form of persuasion I could think of, and succeeded in breaking
three of her not very old stems. So she clearly was not going to be able to handle the big bends later in life.
Started LST, but couldn't get her very flat at that point. I did come up with what I think will
be a helpful solution for her shape, see my *creative* ( haha ) lighting design. It has allowed me to
keep each light at 60%, for a total of 150 watts, with good PPFD and DLI, particularly to her lower nodes.

A question: Do you have day/night temperature swings, even with your 24/7 lighting schedule, in your tents in your garage atelier?

By the way, the little Vivosun fans, one shown in my photo, are great. They're USB and don't ship with converter though. They use almost no elec, and throw a surprising amount of air.

Big temp swings in my garage @Mongoose. :sadcry:Extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Tents get up to the low 90’s during the hot days and drops down to about 75-80 in the evening. I’m not running any climate control so I have to crack the garage door and leave the side door open to cool it down at night. In the the winter I run an extra 100 watt light in the tents to keep them warm.
Your plants look good bro! Your timing was right and you have plenty of strong nodes at the top of your canopy to give you a nice yield. The kelp in the GH Floralicious should help with stacking and tightening up your internode spacing if you’re still having a problem with that.
Appreciate the tip on the Vivosun fans bro.
I also want to thank you for pushing me to check PPFD. I’m running all my lights at a lower power now and saving money on juice. The garage is slightly cooler now too.

Update – Day 91

Here’s the top-down shot, bro 👊

Canopy is about 80x80 cm, she’s filling the tent nicely. I hope you are right about the yield, i could really use it 😬

Gonna skip the flush this run — trying your method, letting her finish strong till the lowers are solid. 🔥

Nice Bro! Big canopy with plenty of colas. Should be well over a pound if your bud density is there.
They look dense in your pic. :eyebrows:

I have been digging into "DIF", and will post more about it, with links. You possibly have perfect DIF for relatively long and flexible stems, to allow you to do your fabulous 420 method. For the moment, start this video at around 8:09 and watch to about 10:20. Horticulurist explaining to a commercial tomato grower why he had a spell of stem elongation that was not good for his purposes. DIF is a thing ...

Interesting video! Thank you!
I’m sure there’s some truth to what he’s saying however I’ve noticed my node spacing is consistent with my garage grown plants and the plants I use to grow in the house.

I'm growing photoperiod. Do I need to defoliate it before supercropping? Is it before 12/12 or earlier?
