Perfectly Flawed
So one of the great thing about being part of an internet community is the mixture of cultures. We all come together and make our own culture among cultures. I work with with a guy from Kenya and every holiday, we bring each other food. I like it because it gives me a chance to learn about his traditions, and he gets to eat things his wife won't cook. Win/win situation.
As most people know we here in the US are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving. I am currently about 900 miles away from home on a farm in Ohio. I am surrounded by my wife's family, and being feed like a king. I could get use to this. Even within the "same culture" we celebrate differently.
So what are some of the other holidays you guys are celebrating this time of the year? Are there any traditions that you have, most people would not know of? Got a funny story about grandma cooking her famous dish nobody would eat?
I'd love to hear stories about where you are from. You don't have to include any info about where you are, and only share what you are comfortable with. With our particular culture of online world wide growers, we should be able to have a holiday everyday!!!
