Thought I would post a question for all of you AFN guys/gals out there. This is to the hydro growers. Has anyone just used a rockwool cube (6x6x6) as their medium alone? I know that I have seen it used on ebb and flow tables where thats all they use.. and for my previous ones i have used a mixture of coco coir, perilite along with a rockwool cube. And one with rockwool cube and some hydroton.. but I am thinking.. whats the point of that secondary material if most of the roots sit in the water anyways? Only thjng that possibly crosses my mind is maybe hydroton makes roots fan out more with less of a chance for the roots knotting up. But other than that. Cant see why it would be needed. Let me know your experiences. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing everyone!!

as far as soil-less hydroponic growing in pots - yes - makes massive roots - is alot like rootmaker starters

I grow in GroDan Hugo 6x6x6 inch rock wool cubes using precision drip to waste. The front middle was a solo cup rock wool grow.
