Why wouldn't you use 99 percent isopropyl, or ethanol from a still, from vodka mix, or run Ever Clear grain alcohol through the still to get the last 5% of water out. Then quick wash freezing material, and put in still to recapture the alcohol?

Have been reading from brainresin.com. Is purchasing 99 percent Isopropyl monitored?

Because vegetable glycerine is the base for what's used to make "juice" for ecigs. I have all the goodies to make my own juice (nicotine and flavorings, etc.) and as THC is also soluble in VG, that makes it prime to make my oil with. If I can get the process down and the potency is good, i'll do whole crops; leaf, trim, bud, stem, and ALL. I got my kids that come to visit periodically and I don't expose them to it (yet). They know I do it. I just don't put it in their face. So a stealth rig would work great for me.

Especially in an UNCOOL state.

I meant compared to butane, which I think BHO is. Ethel alcohol is used more than anything, in pharmaceutical processes. That and ether are the purest and best (that I know of). Just got 3 gallon still and condenser for 100 bucks. Making Vodka can also be used to generate CO2 for grow area (sugar yeast reaction).

Normally, I use a standard Volt kr808-d with XL cartos, but due to lower temps now I'm switching to a VV for a hotter vape. Straight lo-res didn't quite cut it. Hotter vape keeps me from hacking it during winter. The video on the tincture used a water bath with VG/weed mix in a mason jar @ around 165 degrees for 8 hrs. I was thinking this long heating would also serve to decarb it as well. Gonna use this on the trim and some bud. If it works good enough I might go all in, except of course a few choice tasty buds for weekend smoke! Youtube is eat up with videos on BHO and I'm not going to go that way. If the tincture is vapeable without too much potency loss, that'll do.

Well, it might work to decarb enough for oral use, but you'll also be extracting sugars, lipids, chlorophyll, etc which will all impact final potency and certainly impact flavor. If you want potency, your best bet will always be to work with an oil, even QWISO can work really well and is much safer than BHO. Also, VG-based herb extracts have their issues. On top of pulling out all the non-actives you don't really want, you'll also never get all the VG back. I've used vacuum pumps, squeezed by hand, and many other methods, and the weed always ends up weighing more in the end (meaning there is still glycerine inside).

I could help you take an oil to vapable product if you'd like, but just herb in VG isn't going to get you the potency you'd need IMO, and will likely taste kinda awful. I'm much more familiar with 510 products; they get hotter and have a richer air mix so they've become somewhat standard for MJ-based vape tools. The techniques will be pretty much the same, but you might have to play with them a bit to get the taste where you'd like it with an 808.

Oh yeah there is all kinds that don't work as advertised. The glass globe one I use a lot was only 50 bucks.with a year warranty. That's not much more than a gram of concentrate. Best and cheapest device I've got. I also don't like smoking herb in any of them cuz you can't load enough to do much. Trust me I've tried a few. I still like a fat doobie or a ice chilled bong. Yeeeaaa!!!

It's more that I already have several batteries that do more than the battery they sell does, and so do many vapers that may be interested in these products. The VV ego batteries are some of the most popular e-cig batteries in existence, so for anyone who already has the battery you can get the globes for less than $10. Or you could likely get several sets by buying them wholesale from China, from the same places many of us buy our batteries in bulk anyways.

Yeah if you already have batteries. I don't smoke nicotine , pg or vg just the purest thc concentrate I can make. So I wanted to get a kit. It has the glass globe vape pen ,dabber, outlet and usb charger. Now they have a head attachment that vapes herb also. what I like is for all use dabbers it is a portable nail. No torch required. And anybodies bong , with my globe in stem gives you some ice cold frosty hits! My fave. Damn makes me want one right now.
