hi afn I'm new to the forum and here is my project

about a 4by 4 ft area 8 ft in height.
i will be using a fox farm perlite soil mix
i plan on germinating and then planting these into a 4lt pot
i think i might have to transplant into something bigger a some point??
for light I've purchased a 600 watt mh and hps light but next time round i plant to start the seedlings under the fluorescents in a box i constructed, 2, 2ft 150 watts

since this is the first go round i planted three autos
chronic ryder, little cheese, and a nirvana sky which unfortunately didn't make it this far but lots more seeds to get going after this mini trial.

this is the fourth week for my autos nD I JUST STARTED TO LST.
i hope to get some compost tea going but its winter where i am and i might have to wait a little while.

for nutes i don't have much i have a fox farm grow big, a root enhancer, alaskan sea kelp plant food and epsom salt for the occasional folia spray if i need but haven't really thus far.
ive lined my area with a foil reflective material and have a fan and humidifier to help control the climate the lights can get the temp pretty high i also have a clip fan as well can't forget that.
i am able to check my ph levels i have ph up and down as well as the ph pen.

any type of input would be much appreciated and wanted if it helps the areas i feel i could use the most advice is with my lights getting a schedule because i have the two lights mh and hps plus the seedling box i made with the florescence i read that those where better for the seedlings and energy efficient. pot size and transplanting as well as nutrients i would like to use the compost tea heard really good things about it.

so far i am on week four from planting and just started to let these and the chronic is looking like it is taking very well i have some pics ill put up also. thanks to those who take the time to make me and my plants their focus and I'm edited to become apart of the network very much so.

Hey mate welcome to THE network. You ave come to a fantanstic place where you will recieve all the help u could possibly want and then some.

I dont grow in soil (my area dwc is actually easier haha) but someone will be here to give you advice soon. Best advice is to post on other threads and ask for help. Thats what i did and got help from one of the best dwc growers online (seymour buds). Also start a journal and post lots of pics, everyone loves a bit of cannaporn ;)

Hey thisisearl! I dig your setup and you are going to need the other 2 FF of the trio. Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom to round out your grow!!! You are getting to be a couple week out from needing the other 2!! Light schedule should be 20 on 4 off to maximize yield on the autos. I would also go with Bigger pots(3 gallon minimum!!!) bigger pots = bigger plants!! And germinate and go straight to your final pot of choice. Autos dont like to be messed with as far as transplanting(they stunt easy)!! Also air stone in your water to maximize O2 for your roots. Compost tea is used between nutrient feeding. FF soils should be PH'd around 6.4, but I would ph it, then check your runoff to see where its at. Hope this helps.
:welcome:to AFN!

Thanks a lot for the speedy replies. Here are a few pics for ya Birman the chronic low Ryder 2 to be specific it's a little bigger even tho they are the exact same age and little cheese both autos first ones ever. Trying so hard not to be anxious and all with it but I can't wait to fill the room up.

Welcome to AFN Earl

Hey Earl

Welcome to AFN! :)

I agree that 20/4 would be a good light schedule for you start to finish. :)
All looking nice and green there! As far as improvements go - is your reflective material actually foil? or just look like foil (mylar) - If it's just foil, there are better reflective materials to use (including flat white paint)

Glad you joined us - hit us up with a link to your journal when your ready and we'll follow along!

All the best
Blue ^_^

Welcome, Earl! :tiphat:
Sounds like you're getting some great advise.
Yup, for sure on the grow journal. You can go to the new growers forum https://www.autoflower.org/f44/ and start a new thread so all your details are in one spot.
And Yup Yup to the wise Blue! Foil can create hot spots and some serious burns on your ladies. Not to mention it's conductive, in a wet area with a lot of power going to it.
Just don't want you to become a
