I am not the most experienced with auto in general, and tend to take the unorthodox route, but the short answer is yes. What questions do you have? If I can't answer it, I know someone here can. Theres a lot of experienced guys here (way more than I). In my opinion LST is not only a great tool for making your plant flourish, but it is fun, and lets you really get to know your plant.

The first post on this page is an amnesia photo (same thing can be applied to an auto) I did heavy lst on. She was ~6" tall, and 12" wide. About 1/2 down the page there is a chop shot of her too. Take care bud. :smoking:

Here is a couple of pics of what I have done so far. I've only started on 2 of them. The other 2, I don't think they are quite ready for it yet. I'm uploading 2 pics for u to look at. I'm doing LST on them. What I want to know now is: when I bent them over one of the fan leaves is laying on top of the media and doesn't look to me like it is doing any good for anything. Should I cut it off? I put them in on 12/21/2015 so they are 22 days old, and look pretty healthy. Not all of them are growing the same, some are smaller than the rest. I've only done LST one time, but not on auto's, and I don't think I followed up on it very good, because it did not turn out the way I wanted it to. So if u could give me a couple of pointers it would b greatly appreciated. Thanks.

thanks man, I checked out your pics and they look like the same thing I'm doing. What I need to know is: When I pull them over, one of the fan leaves is touching the media. I don't think it's really doing anything. Can I, or should I clip it off? I'm with the understanding that auto's are delicate and when cutting on them, it could slow the growth down quite a bit. Then my question is, If I do cut them, is slowing down the growth going to hurt them some how in the end? Would appreciate any input. They are 22 days old. Thanks again man

Well in general I would try not to remove the leaves. Tuck anything you can to keep it off the medium. I would give them about a good 8-12 hours too before removing anything. Give them a chance to reorientate to the light. When they are pointing up again, it will give you a better idea of where the leaves will actually sit.

I do remove leaves, but like I said I normally choose the unorthodox route. There are tons of great grows on here that never had a leaf removed. However, if you do plan on removing anything, start as small as you can. Start by just cutting the blades in 1/2 rather than the entire leaf. When I remove a leaf I also just cut its stem right behind the leaf, and let the stem stay until it releases on its own. It wont leave an open wound on the plant, and seems to not affect the plant as bad. Also in my particular case stunting was not an issue, as a bonsai was my intent. Try to use this as a last resort though. Hope that helps some bud. Till later, take care.:smoking:
