Live Stoner Chat hello fellow auto lovers

Tetra is right on! I usually like mine with less amber. It why i use a 30x scope. Staggered harvest is a great way as well. Lets some mature for a heavier, night time smoke.

You'll prolly scream once you read this, like why send me on a reading scavenger hunt and then say this, but here goes...lol. for me personally, after reading everyone's advice and techniques I ended up settling on one key signal that my plants are done. All I do is watch the pistils and the calyx. When the calyx swallow up the pistils, you'll see the plant practically stop taking up water and notice the buds really got fat on you. The weight and density come from the calyx swell ! By the time this happens, the plant is good and mature, with a nice ratio of Amber to Cloudy buds. I've harvested more than one plant before it's time, and this is what works best for me. Once this happens, there isn't much left for the plant to do besides grow seeds if it's pollinated. THC production halts and pre-existing THC begins to degrade into CBD on so on.
Did you know, the reason the Calyx envelops the pistil? In nature, when pollinated, the pistil grabs hold of the pollen, the calyx "swallows" the pistil, and then together they grow a seed ? Amazing ehh ? As I understand it, the delicious resin and THC we all love and adore is a wonderful consequence of the female plants desperate attempt to reproduce.
I have some single flowers on my plant........in fact they are under most buds.......I will keep a close eye on the pistils......thank you

Ahh Canada! One day I want to move to that beautiful land and fish my life away! But thats just a dream as of now!

Outdoors in Canada sounds like a good challenge. I'm not far south of the border and am contiplating doing some autos outside next year myself.
thanks man. I had good results last year....gunning for better this one!

Hey bud...I moved your thread to introductions so you get more action!!
TYVM!

Hello - welcome to There's a couple things about you that I like already !
Will you be starting your girls indoors ? Seedling can succumb to the elements REALLY quickly
in my experience, especially if there are any environmental extremes early on.
:2cents:You'll have a much higher success ratio if you give your girls a 2 week head start:2cents: :weed::peace::weed: :goodluck:

I started the Jack's inside about four weeks before I got them out. The thinking is that I can hit the longest days through June and early July. I'll be putting up journals for a couple of strains I'm excited about....Seeds drop in T-minus 50 days. Damn! Seems like forever.....

And thanks for all the encouragement and intros. Great culture and vibe on this site for sure.....excited!!!!

Be sure to have a read of the guide I wrote. @Tetra9 is absolutely right about the 2 week indoor start being a major benefit. I draw it out a little longer than that due to cold, I start them indoors on may the 1st and they go outside last week of may or june the 1st.

Will do. I started my Jack Herer autos last year around April 20, they went outside May long. Took until the end of July, super colors and solid smoke :jointman:

I'll be starting under 400w hps for min 18hrs. Last year, any day of sun and enough temp (+50F) before they went outside for good, I moved them outside for it to save a little power, and give them the big bulb in the sky.

Here's one about 2 weeks before the wake....IMG_20160605_164646 (1).jpg
