T5 is fine. The different light types are all sorta preference. Sorta.. I for one like T5s, cfl and LED for the low heat and cost. HPS pack a punch but you have to deal with all the heat and power usage. Your method isn't broken so don't change it, mate.

i second squid I'v got a 150 watt hps and when I put it in my temps went up atleast 12 deg. It took alot off adjusting after years of cfl's ....

Thanks for the welcome messages, It is nice to have people read the newbie's messages and try to help. I'm sure it does get old, basically answering the same old questions again and again.

I did start reading FD's grow from 2011, and is there a reason why the images are not visible anymore? It would be nice just as a side note to have the post be locked up so it was just a post after post from the creator, instead of people jumping in and making some of the posts 300 pages, Not Hate, just IMHO.

I asked the local hydro place tonight about any insight into autos and everyone kinda twisted up their nose and was like why the ^)&&_ you wanna mess with them?

I've never tried so wanted to so I guess F-off is the response.

Is it possible to get decent results from my T5 or should I really consider putting the auto's I have in a separate box and a HPS or dedicated light for them?

It's completely possible to get amazing results from T5 only. I have seen it my friend.

You can grow some killer plants from start to finish under T5 lights,i've never used anything else but them.

my auto's are starting to flower / pre-flower a bit now. This one is a diesel auto.
