High Guy
I have been lurking around the forums for a while now on the advice of MrMcBud. It seems like a nice friendly forum to make home :)

I am a medical growing in South Africa but due to or outdated laws i am forces to keep my practices low key on our local forums. I have decided that this forum seems like a good place to get help when needed and to maybe share some of my experiences with fellow growers

I am mainly a photo period grower but have grown out many many autos in my time , atm i have got
Amnesia Haze
White Strawberry Skunk
Northern vision
Flowerbomb Kush
Blue Dream x Temple
Tiger Temple
Temple Lights
Afgooey
Caboose
Green Bud
Blue Lemon Thai
New Blue Diesel
White Widow Auto (shs Test)
Chunk
Humboldt Purple
Kush Mix

I have a 2 tier Veg cab of 1.6m x 0.9m x 1m running Mh
Flower cab is a 2m x 2m x2m Tent running multiple HPS lamps and ofc being in SA i got the best hps around! the sun :)
I am a big outdoor grower as well and grow all year round. I am a pure organic growing and make all my our soils and nutes from only the best organic material , i don't use pesticides as i believe nature has always got the solution already.

For me its all about helping others . i produce balms , tinctures , vape oils , bho crumble and few other meds for a very select few people with great results

This was one lady outdoor , new personal best of 11.2LB wet yield

Hi and welcome AFN! looks like you got hands full! thats a lot of work.

:kiss:Wow and double wow! I am a newbie to growing cannabis and can only grow outside. Those outdoor plants are lush and healthy. As your climate is not too far off mine, I will be following your grows.

If you don't mind - would you be kind enough to tell me at what age, you put them into the ground (I am only growing autos) what is the composition of your outdoor soil mix? What is your feeding regime, what is your watering regime?

forgive the many questions, but those outdoor plants look like the work of a BOSS

Thanks guys :)
Yea these girls are a lot of work but its a labour of love so its not bad at all

Dont mind as many questions are you can throw at me , just hope i can answer them all

In summer time i will put the ladies in the ground at about 2 weeks of age and then they get about 3 months of veg before they start to flower. In winter its another story , basically i treat winter like i would my indoor. I veg indoors until they are ready to flower then plant them in the ground. It is possible to plant them at about 2 weeks as i found they will still veg for a further 3 weeks even under winter daylight hours , i just like to give them a bit of a extra start before they go out to battle the winter elements

For soil mix , this year
2 tons compost
3 tons bush soil
5kg lime
5kg bonemeal
5kg kelp powder
2kg Talborne
400dm peat
Let it cook for 2 months

From there i watered once a week for the first month and them after than i did not water for the entire grow. Once the ladies get to a certain size u must make them work for water , by not watering you are forcing them to increase there root system and by doing that your are improving your end product.
The only feeding was 40L of AACT every month. I believe in properly prepared soils because they are the lifeblood of a grow and a byproduct of that is a nice simple grow.

Some of the Bondi Test beans i did outdoor

Welcome Reaf and Holy Christmas! That South African soil is far out. Looks like you have lots to share with us, looking forward to it.
:Sharing One:

Thanks for the above info and the new pics, Awesome!!! Please what is AACT? And as you say you don't water at all after the first month in the ground, may I ask how hot it gets where you are. Because here it can go up to a crazy 35C in July and August.
As cannabis is a weed, everything you say makes absolute sense, but just want to check how hot it gets your neck of the woods. :thank:

Haha yip no better way to grow than in mother earth :)
I live under the african sun :) average summer temps are in there 30 degree C , one day i was reading 44 degrees in the sun. They key to this method is keeping an eye on the girls , they will tell you if they need water but i found once they reach a certain size they haven't needed no matter what the temps got to

AACT is Actively Aerated Compost Tea

Cheers
