My first girl Lucy. She's been extremely kind to me.
I have a White Widow that is very close to ready, but I'm not sure how close. All i have to look at trichs is a jewelers loupe and no matter how many pics I look at on the interwebs, I can't figure out where I am in the process.
I now they aren't great pics but its the best I can do right now. Thanks for any guidance.

:smoking: HB, you have the right tool for the job,... but you need to look at the flower bracts (calyxes), not the sugar leaves,... they change sooner than the bud does generally,... look at the trich heads on buds in several places over the plant, in normal light, or sunlight, nothing with odd color rendering like HID/LED,... and from there, it's a snap, no mistaking clear (immature), milky/cloudy (degree varies; fully mature, max THC), and amber (heads usually shrunken, color forms when THC breaks down into CBN, which gives a narco-sleepy nature to the buzz, beyond what the terpenes do),... how much amber is a personal choice, and in part, how much Indica is in the cross,... personally, since ambering will progress some during dry/cure, and continue as the bud ages (depending on how well you store it), I take my bud at low % amber, 5-15%, a guesstimate of course,... the bud will always have some new bracts forming, with clear trichs, so look at older portions of bud at several sites on the plant, to make an overall assessment,... This bud looks like it has a little more time to mature still, lots of immature pistils still,...but she's close, days away likely,...

This is what my trichs look like with amber showing. And I use this microscope on my phone for photos.

I've got a handheld 60x microscope coming today from our evil soon-to-be overlord, Amazon.
