I have 2 Mi5 that are 12 weeks old. They are yellowing out fast as autos do at the ends of there life cycle. The problem is the buds are far from finished. They are still yet to fill out and all the pistols are still white. It seems like they still have 3 to 4 weeks left but the leaves are fading fast. Plus in 3 weeks that would be 15 weeks for a strain that rarely takes more then 11-12 weeks. Anybody got some advice or explanation for what's going on and what I should do?

Tell us about the grow, lights size of the pots, what's in the pots, temp, PH,
and some pics are always helpful.

I can't get any pictures to upload from my mobile device. They are in #3 nursery pots with roots organic potting soil. Temps are around 80 for entire grow. I know it's a little higher then ideal but not extreme. The temps do drop into the 60s when light are off. The lights were 10 23w 2700k cfl and 5 23w 5000k cfl but, I just got a 1000w hps a week ago so I switched them. The are being fed age old bloom 5-10-5 and kushie kush 1-3-8 at a ph around 7. It's hard for me to tell the difference between the colors on the ph test kit. I just bring it to a light green color and feed them. I haven't had any problems until now (12 weeks) so I don't think it's a ph thing. It looks like a nitrogen diffenciency but they should be getting plenty for this stage. It really looks like the typical auto fade when they reach the end of life cycle. Which would make sense for 12 week old auto. But the bud just arnt as far a long as they should be at this point. I feel like they have 3-4 weeks left but 16 weeks for an mi5 is 4-5 weeks longer than usual. They are frosting up even the sugar leaves have resin rails but they arnt swelling like they should and the pistols are just starting to turn orange like maybe 5%.

Hey dude,

"5-10-5 and kushie kush 1-3-8 at a ph around 7"

Nitrgeon is low on both of these nutrients. How much dose are you giving them? Also a pH of 7.0 can restrict nutrient uptake of some nutrients, if you're growing soil I've always kept my pH within 5.5 - 5.8: not sure whether that's right, i think it is! wait for someone else to confirm.

You need access to some more nitrogen by the sounds of it. Do you have access to cow manure?

It could actually be a range of issues to be honest, pictures would really help experienced growers (not me lol) assist you better.

that ph range is for hydro chad , 6.2-6.5 is nice for soil

ackmo you say you got a 1000 watt hps right ? did you keep it a good far distance from the plants for a few days then slowly lower it every day/couple days ? because if not your plant isnt hardened/accustomed to such extremes

when did you start with the flowering/low N nutes ? they are fine once in full flower , but shouldnt be started too early in the flowering cycle

info and pics will indeed help , but we will all do our best to try and help with what you provide

peace

The plants are 12 weeks old and are just starting to yellow. They had plenty of N during veg and should be getting more than enough for bloom stage. I'm actually thinking it might be EC level in soil now that I've written everything down.
