Hi can anyone please have a look at the photos of my seedling and advise what is going on?!?
I did have issues when the first leaves were coming through (See thread strange seedling that I posted) she is coming along ok since I took the advice given but now the aftermath is stressing me a bit!
Hopefully you will be able to see in the side view that the 1st and 2nd true leaves are dying back?!?
Would it be advisable to cut them off? Or would this induce stress to the seedling and cause even more issues?
Will the dying leaves affect the rest of the plant?
I ask this as on the above photo the nice big leaves, 3rd set, the tips of both larger central leaves are also browning and look dead!?!
Can anyone help??

Have to get a hydro expert in here, but as for the dying leaves, absolutely leave them on! For a couple reasons, if it's a deficiency then the plants will use the nutes stored in those leaves, and also will use what green is left for photosynthesis :)

leave the leaves and yeah not an hydro expert but got couple of grows under my belt and I am a bit stumped because it looks like nitrogen deficiency but also cold weather damage that I only seen in outside grows

what was the problem and advice you got earlier?

also add what your nutrition line up and dosage is, PPM and PH , temp and moister ;)

Not sure if I can help but looking forward to seeing what the answer is ;)

Thank you for your advice Anthropolis :-) much appreciated!
Ijufmennid thank you very much. Answers to your question: When the 1st true leaves popped out they were patchy yellow/lime green even tho my baby leaves were lush. The advice given was that I was possibly drowning my baby, locking it out so was hungry! I res changed and added 1/2 Micro and 1/4 Grow (Advanced nutes) for seedlings and ensured water line was 1" below net pot.
My DWC is 18l to 1.5" below net pot.
My pH is steady at 5.8
Using advanced nutes Micro and Grow
Temps in grow tent range from 18.1-28.6c
300w cfl...22hrs on 2 hrs off
Relative humidity range from 30-50%
I res changed yesterday, into 18l I put 6ml Micro and 3ml Grow
I do have a ppm meter but off top of my head cant remember what the ppm came out as but I use tap water (left for 24hrs) which has a ppm of 232.

Nutes instruct 1ml per liter for seedlings, after everything I have read it seems like the recommendation for autos is 50% of this. so should have really put 9ml micro/9ml grow. I was advised to put 1/2 micro 1/4 grow to start with.
The thing I have with nutes is I really burnt my first seedling ;-( dumb ass move but then nute burned her again a couple of weeks back so am really cautious with them.

Any help with be greatly appreciated

If you're using AN 3 part Micro, Grow & Bloom then you should be using all 3 parts.. Even at this early stage.. With just Micro & Grow your feed is unbalanced from the off..

Also it looks to me like you need to feed more.

Well I am officially as dumb as I look :-S
Thank you for your response Kush T!
How would you do the ratios? I currently do 1ml per liter Micro and .5ml p/l for Grow..would I do .5ml for Bloom too?

If you have Micro and Bloom, use Lucas Formula. 1 ml micro and 2ml of bloom per liter of water (or 8ml micro and 16ml bloom in 1 gallon of water). You don't need the Grow component, ever. There's enough of everything in Micro.

Think the lucas formula is a different set up from dwcg's here bro ?

Can't be sure but think you use the same amount of each ... Always add the bloom 1st though as it has the most calmag & that needs to disolve in the res 1st or it wont mix right :Sharing One:

Yeah equal measures of each if my memory serves me correct.. But it's Micro 1st as it's the one with the Cal/Mg (I'm looking at you Cocha :pighug:lol) If you look at AN's website all the feeding info is there brother.. It's idiot proof really :Sharing One:
