Harvest & Curing Help with Dry/Cure

AKU I use the paper bags and i put all buy fresh good smelling buds in 10 paper bags straight off the plant and leave them for no less than 10 days. depending on how dense. Ive left buds in paper bags 20 days.. you never lose smell in a paper bag hell ill smoke it out of the paper bag. i never use jars and i never use plastic bags until well after 30 days .. I like my buds stinky and dry.. it gets me higher..

So Elvis... You go from plant straight to a paper grocery bag? How full are they? I ask because I only harvest a plant or 2-3 at a time. Also what RH is the room you are doing this in?
AKN.. Where do you get those lids?! Those would definitely be ideal.

my RH in my room hangs around 45% Ive tried many dry methods but the way i do it holds the smell. i use the larger paper bags from the store and just line the bottom with buds not alot i use 5 10 bags. the smell never leaves the buds and if its my personal buds ill leave it in the bags 2 weeks! doing that will drop your bud RH below 62% but be honest i like my bud at 50 55% RH because it will knock my ass out!! i don't even bother with ball jars or bags. I would put my buds in jars or plastic bags but the plant must be dead over 30 days..
oh yes i go from plant to bag i Just open them a few times a day move the buds around in there.. I never hang dry its makes buds smell like hay. the key to this is alot of paper bags and not many buds in each bag . try it you will be happy

OK Elvis, sounds like we have similar RH in our drying areas. I am going to follow your method. A few more questions... How much/little do you trim? Do you double up the paper bag or anything? Do you cut them down or leave them full size? Do you ever keep a hygrometer in the bags or do you otherwise know what the RH is inside the bags or do you just go on history that it gets to the right moisture? Anything else I should know? I'm bringing down my Blue Mammoth in a couple days. She's been flushed for 4-5 days now.
Much thanks to everyone that replied. I will report on how well this method works for me. As far as I know I'll be cutting the plant, trimming appropriate, putting into a paper grocery bag for 2 weeks, flipping them twice a day. Wish me luck.

don't double bag i have a few very cheap hygrometers but I don't put them in the bag maybe i should just to see whats going on in there.. interesting!! i would assume its the same as the room or close to that.. if you put into paper grocery bag for 2 weeks, flipping them twice a day 14 days you cant lose bro. take some out at day 10 put in in a plastic zip with a hygrometer for about 2 hours to see where its at if its to high over 62 take back out and put it back in the paper. once you put your bud in each bag don't mix them up with other bags until after the 14 days some buds will be moist, and cause the dryer buds to mold.. sometime mold cant bee seen and mold can make buds not smell right. there 1000s of mold strains.. growers only think about the mold they see.

OK so trim them up close and personal then into a single paper grocery bag folded over at the top. Flip day and night for 2 weeks. At this time I will perform a RH check on the buds. Greater than 62% goes back in the bag, less than can go into a jar. Hopefully that sums it up cause that is what I'm running with.
If this works I will owe you bigtime! I will report back in a little over 2 weeks with how it went and how my bud smells. Thanks again!
