Harvest & Curing Help with Dry/Cure

if you have 1 bud at 70% and another bud at 62% you could have mold dont mix those buds until both are the same %

I wanted to say they are closer than that but the sensor doesn't lie. 64% and 75%. I'm closing and gauging the 64 and lightly covering and monitoring with dial hygrometer the 75. Once it comes down closer to my actual harvest nugs I'll combine them. At least I got this much but I shutter when I think what I was just 6 weeks away from harvesting. 2 full plants would have come down every 2ish weeks for 2 months or so. All gone. I had a healthy red poison showing purples, what a bummer, STILL! Sucks not growing.

I got them both to around 62-66% put them together and sealed up the jar with my humidity sensor. It has been a few days and every now and then I get whiffs of that smell when I get near the jar. When I crack it open there is a smell, def. not mold or anything crazy but not hay or grass either, those are gone. I'm hoping its the precursor to a really fine cannabis smell. I think it has to do with volume of air vs volume of weed in a given space. The small amounts I was trying to cure in a paper bag were just too small in that size of space, maybe. Still not sure what I'm doing right or wrong. Still hoping that in a few weeks I have a well on the way of being cured half zip of super good smoke! I know the jar is smelling more promising than anything I have done in the past. wish me luck, hope this comes out.

if you got those % your good bro.. I know its hard but curing canna is skill just like growing canna its self. know you can call yourself a skilled grower and skilled at curing big deal!!! .. you will get better and better after a few goes.. but at 62 64 your rocking !

Still no true canna smell. It smells but not sure anyone would recognize it as ganj. It's been in the bag then jar for sometime now. I'll have to look back but surely it should be smelling pretty good by now. I wonder if because its kept cold in this part of the house that it might take longer to cure.

Ya, tomorrow is 2 weeks. There is an odor but its def not that sweet smell. If I crack a nug, there it is, the smell all of it should have. If I can smell it on the inside, does that hopefully mean that at some point the outside will sweeten up as well? I know this weed SHOULD stink like all get out it just doesn't (yet) and I hope it eventually will.

Its so strange. I can smell the jar in whiffs. Whiffs of really good smelling weed. I just don't smell that when I open the jar! I don't get it. Talk about frustrating, holy shiite this is pissing me off. Just every now and then, I get the smallest noseful of unmistakably good shtuff.

Are they dry now? 62%? Stable? Then close the lids for 2 weeks. THEN smell. I am just about to put mine up to cure. An anaerobic bacteria will form and increase once the oxygen in the jar is used up and improve things, as I understand it. Anaerobic=no oxygen=don't open the jar.. Let mother nature do her thing. For weeks, not days.

I am at the same stage you are. I get a whiff of danky-dank every once in a while. From everything I've read, now is the time to seal it up and let it cure.

Right on GJ. Ya, it's stable at 62%. I am not opening the jar. I figured it was 61 degrees F where I was trying to cure. I'm thinking that 63 degrees is too cold for whatever to take place so I put the jar is a different part of the house that stays around 70 degrees. I know if this stuff would just do what its supposed to do and get real stinky that it'd be a superior aroma.
GJ please keep me posted regarding your nugs (that sounds disgusting) but ya the RH and temp and how long they have been and will be untouched and how it turns out for you.

They def. have more aroma after a day in the warmer temps. Time will tell.

A couple weeks into it and I can testify its sloooow goin'. There are goooood aromas but down deep. If you crack one and whiff it close, you will smile. I broke up a couple g's and put it in a small medicine bottle as to let the odors concentrate some, I smoke with a tester style oney anyway. There is some sweetness when I pop that thing after a while. It just super light. If its coming back at all, at this rate (and I don't smoke a fraction of what anyone smokes anymore) it'll be gone before any substantial fragrances return. What a shame. The odors that are there are superior. I haven't smelled such goodness in a long time. Its such a bummer it's so weak cause its really good. Wish ya'll could smell a jar full up a this.
As my grow area has been foreclosed upon, I will not have any upcoming harvests to speak of. I AM stunting 1 small auto reg sexed plant in hopes that it is male, for the pollen. You know, for science! That is all I can do.
I can only come to the conclusion that the colder temperature, 60ish degree f in the curing area mixed in with some unknown dark wizardry kept my cannabis from achieving that really good canna smell. If by some miraculous happenstance this shit turns and starts putting out some reeky dankness, this I will report.
