Hey everyone. Just curious to how wet the soil needs to be when I feed my girls. At the moment they are one week old and in solo cups(going to cut bottoms out and put in 3 gal) but I want to follow this feed regime.

They are sitting in happy frog soil, using fox farm trio - this was a auto regime recommended

Week 1 pH water only
Week 1.5 add in Big Bloom to the mix at 1/2 teaspoon
Week 2 - 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2 tsp Big Bloom
Week 2.5 - 3/4 tsp of grow big
Week 3 - 1tsp grow big and 1/2 Tiger bloom 1/2 tea spoon Big Bloom
Week 3.5 - 1/2 tsp Grow Big 1/2tsp Tiger bloom
Week 4 - 1tsp Tiger bloom 1/2 tsp Grow Big
Week 4.5 - Clean pH'ed water to clear out any salt build up
Week 5 - 2tsp tiger bloom 1/2 grow big
Week 5.5 - 1 Teaspoon Grow Big
Week 6 - Begin Flush for the final weeks.

How do you wet the soil before feeding so you don't burn the roots?

Thank you!

Morning Billy.

I just replied to your other thread with this feed schedule, but as for the other question.

How do you wet the soil before feeding so you don't burn the roots?

You should ideally let the pot dry out so that it is light to pick up, before the leaves droop if possible (but catching an underwatered droop early isn't the end of the world)

When you water them fully, you should get about 10% run off. Water slowly. The run off will remove any excess salts in the soil.

As for burning the roots? I guess the strenth of the nutrient will do that. I don't know about root burning - but if you over do it with the nutes, the first sign you will see are burning leaf tips - they go yellow then brown and then continue up the leaf. If you see a tip burn, you've gone in a bit strong with the nutes and need to back them down for the next couple of waters and build back up again :)

Hope this helps

just found tangs feeding schedule - I will be trying this

"Firstly the PH of my tap water is 7.2 and after adding nutes its 6.6 so I don't use PH up or down. Secondly I mix all my nutes into 5L bottles so the measurements are based on that.

Seedling to week 2 just give water (no PH adjustment)

Week 2 to 4 - 6ml Sensi grow A&B (12ml total),3ml of voodoo juice,3ml of Sensi Zym and 3ml Carboload.

Week 4 to 6 - 8ml Sensi grow A&B, 4ml B52,4ml Carboload.

Flush

Week 6 to 8 - 10ml Sensi bloom A&B,5ml voodoo juice,5ml Sensi Zym,5ml carbload and 5ml Big Bud.

Week 8 to 10 - 10ml Sensi bloom A&B,5ml b52,5ml Carboload and 5ml of overdrive.

Feed daily and add Sensi calmag if required, these are just guidelines so back off or increase strength if required."
