Lighting Help with new Apollo LED Grow

Yup!

Grown some nice plants with mine....(I think) ;)

I will say, it really seems like my SODKxRipley's is loving
having a 60W 3200K Spectrum CFL in her face too. Seems to help build bud size.

I don't know what to expect during flower. So far the plant is digging it. I'm at 30w per sqft. Do you think I should supplement with more light? CFL, small t5, or household LED's are my options. Surprisingly the cree LED bulbs from Home Depot produce some really nice buds.

I couldn't wait for feedback. I pulled the trigger and bought the strip lights. SMD 5630 LED Strip. 9000 lumens. Roughly 3000k color temp. I believe it pulls 72 watts if you use the whole strip. Better efficiency than cfl by my roughest estimation.

I plan to zig zag the strip from base of plat to just above canopy. This is a fun little experiment. If they don't work well I'll use them on the underside of my truck :)

Give me some feedback.

UPDATE: I got ahead of myself and miscalculated. these give aproximately 30-40 lumens per watt, not per light. The whole rig will provide about 2300 - 3000 lumens. That's not efficient at all.. 75 watts of cfl would provide 4800 lumens and 75w of crees would provide 6750.

Yeah those aren't for growing and wouldn't buy them To grow.they're pretty useless for growing. But are amazing to decorate around the house, I bought a roll to line up my walkway to my house and it looks great.

2 Weeks from sprout. She look decent. She has a bit of leaf curl, but the soil may be hot or there must be too much water. I tried moving my light higher, but it made no difference.

If I was you I would Send those LED back ..get ones that are well documented on AFN like Grow northern..mars or something ...looks like you have a lil too much N but she may grow out of it the bigger she gets..Next round in the same soil will do better.

Thanks Elsa, I worked hard on it. Turning out pretty good. I also like that I can set it up on a table. Sitting on the floor gets old after a bit :)

Yea, soil a little too hot I suppose. Thx for the input. Maybe next grow I can add in some light warrior.

I like Mars and know they are recommended. I just wanted a small light and couldn't find something so small from Mars. The whole idea was to stay around 100w so Apollo was my choice. Ideally I'd have an Area 51, but am waiting for them to come out with their new model..

I'll be adding some Cree PAR 38 Floods once flowering kicks in.
