Hi

I was hoping someone could let me know what is causing this. They are under 400 hps in a tent. In Miracle Grow feeding 2tbs of 1-10-1 fossilized Bat guano once a week. and giving 1pint of water approx everyday. R/H 50/60% TEMP 25/27c They are in 10 ltr pots My plants are a bit crammed in I didn't think they would go quite so well this particular plant was from a seed that sprouted two plants, they all have something similar but this is the worst. I tested the PH my tap water at 7.2. If its the tap water how do I get the PH down could I just boil it? I have bought some dried blood with 12% nitrogen just in case it needed N?

Many thanks in advance:tiphat:

Hang in there bro someone will see this and give some advice soon. Im still really new here but there are lots of ways to lower your ph. try the live search at the top right. Sorry cant help you much more but give these guys a little time and they will set you straight.

7.2 is a bit too high bro. MG isn't the best by a far stretch but it is what it is at this point. You should be around 6.6 or so. You can lower the ph of your water naturally by adding lemon juice. Check the ph of your runoff and report back here.

Agree with a420er...Ph far too high, locking out very essential nutrient uptake, and probably creating a salt / nutrient slag build-up. How old are they and are they autos? Since they're in soil, bring the Ph down gradually...don't try to correct it overnight. Good luck, keep us posted. Puff, puff, pass

Hi They are on day 38. On one plant the very top leaves are yellowing at the tips which are curling. If I watering them and adding lemon juice how much should I add to the water?

Hi
I have checked the run off at it was a massive 7.2! I have added some water with lemon juice making it the water 5.5.......I will check the run off in a few days! fingers crossed

5.5 is a little bit bigger jump than I would have made. With the runoff at 7.2 I would flush the container with water ph'd at 6.6. Run about 2-3 times the pot size of water through it. So for a 1 gallon container, flush with 2-3 gallons of water all at once. That will bring your ph back down and get some of those excess nutrients out. Then, water regularly with 1/2 dose nutrients until she is healthy again.

Hi
I just watered them with water at 5.5 about 3/4 of a pint. I didn't flush them. If I have jumped to far what problems will I now face?

It may not bother them at all. It is very strain dependant. I would flush them with some water at 6.6 but that is just me. There are more ways than one to skin a cat.
