Hello all

Been wanting to start this hobby for a long time and finally have some spare cash to get started. I have a nice little storage unite behing the garage in my townhouse and am wanting to but a 4x4 foot tent setup in there. Have been looking at the Mars hydro reflector 192, would this light work for a tent this size? I was hoping id be able to get maybe 3-4 autoflowers in there. Anywho before i order any equipment i just wanna get some peoples opinions. Cant wait to get started and get a grow journal going, and i look forward to meeting like minded people

Hi boomer,just a quick note to welcome you to AFN,sounds like you have a good plan for your setup..unfortunatly i cant give any useful advice cause i open grow with HID lighting,,there will be more folks along shortly to help you out tho....when you get a chance,swing by Live Stoners and meet some great people over there as well...peace

Hey great to meet you! I cant inform you on lighting choice as I run a micro cab with limited vertical so I run 3W leds, but surely there will be an led freak around to help you out. In fact I will call one in for you right now @Ripper

I will take a look at the light specs and get back to him.. I am not super familiar with that lights specs.. But for sure when I get him I will take a gander at it..

Thanks greenskell, actually after reading a few more fourma in thinking that the reflector 192 wouldn't be enuff for that size of tent and 3-4 plants. I'm leaning towards the Mars 2 1200 now for about 150 Canadian more, would that light be good for seedling to harvest?

ok bud you here.. you said a 4x4 and about 4 plants at a time.. I have a few suggestions... cheap lights work but good lights work better... I have used Mars and they will work fine but I have a top end light that you can get a discount by just being a member here... and it is new proven technology... it is pretty much how I would build my own light and yes I have built my own....
