hi guys.

quick question..

i currently have 3 AFs on 20/4 cycle and only 4 weeks left til harvest in a 120x60x150 tent with a 4" exhaust fan and the intake flap removed for passive intake. i also have a 9" clip on fan blowing air over the canopy of the plants (not osc). i also have a small 1.5l dehumi at the passive intake but not sure if its helping.

my humidity when lights on is always around 45-55% but lights off it sometimes gets as high as 75%

ive heard that with good air flow. high humidity isnt always a problem.

any ideas what i can do??

A dehumidifier would increase your heat, power bill and upfront cost if you don't own one already. Many of us deal with the same situation. The cheapest option in my opinion would be to install an additional fan. You could stick one down below and get a little upskirt action. Also install another larger one on top blowing down. I have had minor bud rot once before with temps near 90 and humidity above 70%

thanks, ive already got the upskirt fan, temps never get past 23c even with the high humidity

I know this might sound a bit crass, but, if you have the time and opportunity, then unzip the tent, give it a good flapping and change the air completely. Two or three times a day will really help to reduce the chance of the dreaded rot gaining a hold. A lot will depend on the amount of stealth you require and the ability to spend the time.
Keep the fans on 24/0

Do you run the fans lights off?

What are the temps like?

If I'm telling you how to suck eggs here, I apologise.

Humidity is stated as RH%, that's relative humidity expressed as a percentage. What this means is, it's how much water the air can hold relative to its saturation point at that temperature. If you change the temp, you change the humidity. Hot air holds more moisture than cold, so as the temp goes down the humidity will go up even though the air contains the same amount of moisture.

So it may just be the temp in the tent dropping that is giving you the high humidity reading.

Or I may be really stoned and chatting shit......

no need to apologise. i appreciate any and all help

temps with lights on are around 23-25c and with lights off drop to about 17-18c, i have no space for a heater in my tent :(

It's not just in your tent. At night the humidity will swing up as the temps drop. So the fresh air you are pulling in will have a higher rh at night. You don't need a heater. I like a drop in temp when the lights are off, helps bring out the colours. When it was hot the other week I had lows of 16 and highs of 41. I don't check rh personally as it's too difficult to control in my set up.

Spot on here.... i would do this as well as remember to rotate your girls daily by 90 degrees so not 1 spot is getting left out... youll be fine as long as u dont run them too long and get water logged buds.
