I started these two girls (Amnesia Haze Auto Fem) about 12 days ago - they emerged 9 days ago. They have been outside in a spot shaded from our hot afternoon sun. They’re both in 10gallon (38L) grow bags with FoxFarm soil with some additional amendments like coco, vermiculite, myco, worm castings, etc. we have had some very hot weather this summer with afternoon temps reaching 100°F (38°C) and they have been enduring. Since they are going to live outside I wanted to start some outside. I started some more indoors a few days ago to compare but I should have done them all at the same time to have an easier comparison. What do YOU think about how they’re looking at 9 days young??
This biggest one seems a little leggy compared to the other. I have about 2” more room to add soil to the top of these bags. Would it be a good idea to add some soil and bury part of the stem, say, up to the colyedon leaves? Or should I just let her go and allow the wind to strengthen her stalk? I’m thinking I’ll put them in a spot with about 50% more sun in another 2-3 days.
