Lighting How do you choose your grow light?

How do you go about choosing a light?? I have it narrowed down to 2 lights that I keep going back and forth on. I’m looking at either an optic 4 or an electric sky 180. They will be going in a 3x3x6 tent. They both have pros and cons. I currently have a mars hydro 600 and a king plus 1200 and I’m looking to upgrade. So how did you decide? Thanks

I run 4 x Citizen 1212 3500K 55w DIY running on a Meanwell 1400 driver, 220w total. happy with them, and could add to them to upgrade instead of renewing the entire light each time I want to upgrade.

To answer your subject line...research, research, research and research some more. Before I found autocobs, I settled on CMH due to the fact of lesser power use, great spectrum and need of heat source for winter. Now I have 2 65w autocobs and 315w CMH. Summer time I’ll turn off CMH and simply use the 2 autocobs.

Are you pumping CO2? Seems that lighting you have would be more than enough.

I initially chose cobs but they were expensive to build the way I wanted. Thought of quantum boards but decided on bridgelux strips because I could get more for my money.
