New Grower how many plants, soil mix & general advice.

so im about to start my fourth grow probably this week or next just waiting on a delivery. i had a few logs on here before the big delete but ive had a long break and just want to double check some things before i get going. i know these things get asked a lot but im just checking again for my situation as ive forgotten some things due to a good harvest.

ill be growing in a secret jardin dr100 3.3ftx3.3ftx6.6ft with a 400 watt mh/600 watt hps in a cooltube. i was thinking of growing 4 or 5 plants in 5 gallon buckets i have 4 easy ryders from joint dr and maybe a few russian rocket fuel if theres space but easyryders would be the priority. i only grow on and off so i need to make each one count. how many plants would get the best yield? i dont mind planting a few extra for culling later if needed.

im thinking of sowing staight into their final pots keeping most of the mix dry and just being careful not to water unnecessarily. itll be in biobizz light mix and i was thinking of adding some perlite and maybe some garden lime but im not familiar with the mix will it need either of these? it says its supposed to be around 6.2 out of the bag but i dont know how true this is. in the same order as the soil is a new hanna ph tester anyway so i can test when it arrives but any experience about it would be good to hear.
ill use gh 3 part flora.

also has anyone ever used canna start i doubt itll be useful for autos but just incase people have had positive experiences i have a bottle in a cupboard that could be put to use.

You should have enough light to pack about as many 5 gal bags/pots as you can fit. I can't really help you with bagged mixes. I don't use them, but someone will come along that has experience with it. One thing... you do not want to start your seeds directly into anything that might burn them... in other words, any mix that has ferts already.

hey testerx, good stuff i was just trying to find a good balance between wasting space/light and overcrowded numbers wise but i suppose it all depends on pheno etc. i got the biobizz light mix as i cant get anything locally(im in europe and very few ship soil international) that isnt hot or just terrible for growing and from what i read its weak but hard to tell from random threads. ill be feeding chemical so i just wanted a base mix to work with really. i have perlite and some cheap coco i bought just to have extra stuff in the closet i could weaken the mix with if needed. probably just the perlite though if anything.

if that seems like itll still be too strong for seedlings i bought some peat pucks i could use. never used them before but im guessing you just soak them in ph'd water first and pop a seed in?
i was thinking that the less transplanting the better id like to not stunt them.
