Hard to say, Mcdee. Everyone's different. To get the most potent tincture, you will have to reduce it.
Every new batch, start with 1/2 dropper for 30 minutes to assess the strength and titrate up from there if needed.
Most tinctures I have made take between 1/2 to 2 droppers sublingualy depending on method, strain, my pain levels, etc. I'd say the average between my homemade batches is 3/4-1 dropper. Dispensary products always take 2 or more droppers for me.
Sublingual tincture is nice in that it comes on way faster but lasts almost as long as edibles, so its easy to titrate the dose. I'd say about 10-15 minutes onset for me, and full effects around a half hour.
Don't expect an instant rush like dabbing. Tincture can be very strong, but comes on more slowly.
Some people here put tinctures in their tea instead of sublingual. That would come on more slowly like an edible.
Oh- one more thing. For me, anyways, sublingual tincture raises my tolerance quickly so I only use it for short periods at a time.
