The thing I think you would like with cobs is the spectrum is very closer to hps. It's better but closer than cheap blurple leds.

here is one half of my 4x8 so a 4x4 with a tad bit over 500 true watts of led and they [emoji102] nothing like your girls under the cobs can you shoot me some info if I could replace 500 watts with 3 or 4 of your cobs and smash it I'm all for it [emoji1360][emoji1360][emoji1360][emoji41][emoji41]

I will say that people have done well with kind and other brands. Even these above photos show they work. They are not a 1000w or 600w equivelant like they say they are though. How ever you want to convert the numbers, lumens, par, umoles. To help understand a little better without naming companies personally most LED companies use the same exact leds. Some use different optics, or drivers but they use the same "engine" meaning there is little difference between lights besides physical appearance and overall size.

Great info very interesting, I rock 2 spectrum king closet cases on the other side Cree endorsed I actually like that they're also waterproof they carry the same spectrum as their bigger lights would love to get my hands on one of the sk600's what you think about their lights??

I haven't looked into spectrum king much. The biggest thing to research is the leds or cobs used and how they are powered. They are the engine in a light. Your goal should be getting a reliable high performance engine while still getting great miles per gallon. Last should be cost as long as you can afford it. If your sucking down gallons of gas like kw-hours of electricity and it's costing more to operate the price will quickly be overtaken in operating costs. .


Hps is the muscle car, leds are the yugo and cobs are like a turbo charged Toyota Prius.
