Extraction How to prepare buds for water ice extraction?

Will get very little trims as most are browned by calcium def or so....


So I was wondering what would be the best way to prepare the buds for an ice water extraction?
Frozen then cut in little pieces on the spot before putting in the ice water bath?

Put your trim the the freezer for a few hours until it's all frozen. Then take it out and just crumple it up by hand. Freezing will make it brittle and easy to crumble, plus the trics will separate from the vegetable matter a lot easier.

FOr the trims fine.... but never did with buds, so wanted to get the most out of them without having to go via Iso or BHO.
Same with buds?

Break buds up like rolling a reefer, leaves not so much... the more you crumble the more cell bodies get into the hash, but that said it makes more hash, but a lessor quality but the extent of lessor is very minimal.

Usually, I dry for 4-6 days (my RH is 45-50%) then freeze dry my buds for 10 days and they are still "nicely moist" / breakable but kind of soft if left out like 5-10 minutes, so would you recommend to extra dry the buds like 2 extra days, then freeze?

I will be using only buds (3 plants), no trim at all this time.

when i do buds i like to gently snip them into smaller pieces right after i cut it down then put those little pieces of buds into a container into the freezer for the night and then run them in the neext day or so. by sniping them i mean i use my scissors to separate the bigger tops/buds by the base of the stem. reason i do it like this is because if u freeze the buds whole and then go to break them up the trichs are gonna be brittle and u will lose alot while breaking it up preparing to do the wash. just my method of doing it.once ur product is frozen u want to limit as much movement on it as possible befoore u get it into ur bags/washer machine.

I have run lots of popcorn buds in my bubble bags. I dry the crap out of them, break them up in to small bits, and into the water they go.
I have found too that its worth working the stuff in the work bag twice.
