I'm not set on DWC really.. Maybe soil for my first grow is what I sould be doing. Yeah my grow space is awkward.. I was going to do a 2 plant grow when I was going to soil.. and now I'm thinking I might switch back.. hmm... Mephisto plants don't seem to grow that big and they seem to have good genetics from all the grow journals i've read.. what are you're thoughts on Mephisto, and Soil vs DWC for a first time grower. What are some medium size plants that are good yeilders? I really want to pull atleast a 100 plus grams from my grow so I have a nice spring and summer stash. Airpot vs Smartpot?
Sorry for a bajillion questions dude!
Oh Hey....a good habit to get into is use the reply in the lower right corner of a message you want to respond to. This will let the other member know you have quoted them and they will get a notification(top of the page on the right) letting them know you have responded. Just a heads up for busy members, so they see you are chatting at them
DWC is a fantastic way to grow...the plants I have seen with DWC are just wow....but I fear they will outgrow your space in a major way. I like soil and especially soilless mediums(promix HP is what I use). Ive been growing outside for decades in dirt and its just natural to me. The plants will not get nearly as huge as properly grown DWC or nft systems, but they get plenty full of bud for me.
I haven't grown any mephisto yet, but I have seen many amazing grow and plants from them. I cant recommend a strain from them, but I would surf the mephisto reviews and have a peek at the varie reviews. They will give you an idea on what is possible with their strains. In fact I would look also at Dutch Passion, Dinafem and Sweet Seeds Reviews while you are at it. They contains a ton of information on varied strains. Myself I am a dutch passion man. They are powerbomb genetics growing quicker than you could think possible. I wouldn't dare try to run one of the DP giant auto strains(autoultimate, gluberry, daiquiri lime) in my cabinet or I would have to put reinforcement screws in the walls or risk blowing the sides off the cabinet...hahaha
Even small strains can lead to nice yields if done properly. Its all about fitting the right amount of plants in your space to fill the space but not overcrowd the space. I just finished a run with a bunch of small plants I made mistakes on and stunted, and they put out an incredible yield of 400 grams.
I'd go airpots just for the ease of watering vs fabric pots, though I do just fine in regular 7"X7"X9"deep square pots.
. you have chosen the best place to get that first harvest. I'm on my 3rd grow now thank to AFN, its all here. When you get a journal going tag me (by placing an @ infront of my name...
