Greetings from the People's Republic of Massachusetts. With recreational use legalized I was finally able to convince my wife that the DEA wasn't going to kick in our door if I grew one plant (it took some doing) so I've set off on my horticultural adventure.
After an anxious first grow which turned out reasonably successful, I'm now embarked on my second. The thing I've noticed is how much obsession there is about growing conditions, humidity, nutrients, lights, etc. Being the contrary old bastard that I am I decided to try a grow where I ignored all of it. Just grow a seed in soil using megacrop for nutes and just let it grow. I'm a month in, so far so good.

That's not always a bad thing lol I'm not great on conditions and pH water.

It sure is nice to see someone who thinks like me. I had 2 plants go Over 2 lbs. doing almost the same thing as you. Mega Crop, Compost/soil, Nitrogen during the transitional phase, and well, I did 12 different plants that way.

I ain't saying what peeps do isn't worth it, as long as they are happy with it, right? But keeping things simple lets you go on and do other things like fishing, and spelunking, and the like. (*note: actual spelunking not done in the making of this post).

Welcome aboard.

:headbang:

funny cuz I think the same thing and am from MA

I think we learn conditions are not in our control being the weather changes by the minute at times so we just roll with what mother nature brings us

mix that with our houses being well some of the first houses in the country it is often times difficult to control conditions inside

PM makes me lol also try finishing a grow in this area outside with at least not a lil bit of it

good luck with the grow!

Don't tell her nothing has changed on the Fed level. It really rankles my ire that the Feds haven't taken marijuana/cbd off the "Schdeule One" list. It frustrates the hell out of me. At least the new farm bill will pave the way for hemp.

Richard Nixon screwed us on marijuana. He was the one who threw tons of money at the DEA and to local law dawgs to combat marijuana. The money was far too good to pass up. And here we are....still.

It IS frustrating but we're definitely moving in the right direction. As long as we can avoid a "Handmaid's Tale" theocracy we'll get there eventually.

Also, she's well aware of the difference between the state and fed policies. I think it helped that one of the first 2 rec dispensaries is 2 blocks from our house. Well, it didn't help traffic, seems like the whole of the Northeast is driving into town and lining up to buy legal pot. :D
