Lighting HPS cool tube yeild affected?

hey ppl

just have a few question about cool tube as there seem's to be abit of mixed review on this subject

does it affect your yeild?
if so why is it the glass?the small refector's?somthing else?

or are some people taking rubbish?

i looked into these sort of air cooled reflectors a while back, and i think its a combination. yeah the glass affects the light - but it wasn't a huge amount and this might be negated by being able to get the light closer to the plants. the reflector isn't the greatest reflector in the world. plus the bulb being cooled seems to have a detrimental effect on the light produced. there was a video on youtube where they test light emitted through a glass hood with one without glass, and as i remember the difference was quite small.
