I have 2 sweet seeds Red Poison starting to flower. I have probably had issues with not great PH. Also had bugs for sure, and they might have got at the roots in one or both plants.

The one in the background is lighter green. Very light. New growth is even light. Flower area is black.
The one in the foreground is darker green, has more foliage, and does not have the black stained flower area. Flowers look 'normal' to me color wise.

Both plants had the same nute feed and H2O, lights, training, etc. But bug larvae might have affected one more than the other. That is the only variable I can think of, other than phenos and genetics.

Does this look like an operators error stress thing? Or maybe just genetics? Red P

I just did a quick Google search on these... there seems to be a lot of beautiful colorings to this strain... you might go take a look, very possibly will put your mind at ease..

Yes sir! that's why I picked this strain. The amazing purple/red tones. So I'm not really surprised about that plant if grown in isolation, but it's very different than the sister growing beside it. That's what I'm looking at and trying to understand it.

Going to grow it out for sure.

Artie, I also meant to say that I looked at pics of this strain in veg and flower etc and did not see any that looked like this one at this stage. But that doesn't mean much I know. Could be this look has happened before.

Ah, wish I could be of more help, do you have a journal? I'd like to follow along... love the colors!

No journal. If it works out that way, I'll post pics in this thread a bit as she grows hopefully healthy. Or since this is for the infirm, I'll post pics if unhealthy too!
:smoking:

I think its just strain related...we had 4 different phenos on my first grow...1 was green...2 were pinkish and 1 was a really dark red...hopefully this is just strain related!

Yup that's purdy common for sweets red family.
