Update: Purple Cheese 30 DAYS - Diesel @ Day 21

Hello,

As I said I would, I've added some more pics of the setup, and the progress of the purple cheese + Diesel.

I'm strongly considering trying out the LST Method for the Diesel while the stem is still bendable.

On the purple cheese you can see quite a few future bud sites - Voodoo Juice is on the way too so that will be interesting to see.

Enjoy the pics n smoke a doobie :toke:

Such big changes in just a few days! Looking really nice! :booya:

:smokebuds:

OH SWEEETTT looking good looking good!!! Just keep doing what you are doing and watch the watering ..it will need more but not too much ..are you getting an inch a day?:slap::trichs:

hey man thanks !!! The purple cheese really seems to be taking off in height I'm loving this experience! :)

I'd say it is indeed something like an inch a day.. it's really grown a lot in the past 5 days.

As far as the diesel's concerned , what do you recommend - should I try out doing the LST method, it seems really busy and leaves are all close together, i think it's a really good candidate for that method :)

Also - above my purple cheese soil I can see sort of like.. white dust... i hope this is not fungus or something that could destroy the plant - not sure what to do about that...

I also went and got a basic fertiliser -organic- from the flower shop - he told me it will keep your plant healthy - just put 1 tablespoon / liter of water every 15 days or so.

Voodoo Juice is also on the way, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the plants react to that! :)

Thanks!

Damn dude, thats a massive difference from when I last dropped by.
LST's probably a good option if heights becoming a problem for you, just gotta be careful starting at the age yours are, they may be a bit more suseptable to breaking but only you'll know by having a little play and seeing if there's any movement there for you to work with.

I'm LST'ing mine atm to stop vertical growth as much as possible, will be posting an update later today but drop by in a few hours and you'll see how aggresive you can be, I did a Stunted (check out his grows) and went a little over board training and twisting. Should get good results though, well worth the time you put in to it.

Are they still getting some natural sunlight during the day or have you kept them indoors now??

Peace

Hey Thanks for the reply :smokebuds:

So, now that I think about it .... it's too late your'e right. The stem seems solid at this point, and I really don't want to break her so I'm going to just leave it, and do whatever I can with my hands to expose the branches that are being covered so they get light too.

I take them out in the sun here and there whenever I get the chance to work from home ... otherwise .. by the time I get back home from work the sun's gone and they've been in the dark sitting so I try to avoid that from happening.

I've read / watched people say that there is absolutely nothing better than natural sunlight for plants, and the sun is very strong here in the mediterranean so whenever I get the chance I treat them to it.

I can't wait to see what it's like smoking something I've grown!!!!!!!!!

So far:

Water: TAP Water - No PH Monitoring - haven't had the chance to get my hands on a meter -
around 1.5 liters of water every 3 days or so for all three plants (SKUNK / PURPLE / DIESEL )

Lights : Been using the CFL's having them on 24/7 since the very start.. I will set the timer to have them switched over to 18/6 probably by end of the week - results are pretty impressive, so I'm not sure what to think of the 24/7 method, so far so good!

Fan: No Fan Yet - No air circulation - just a box open from the front so it doesn't get too hot in there :)

Nutrients: none - bought some fertiliser - will start using that (1tbsp / liter of water every 15 days)
Voodoo Juice in Transit - soon to be used :) - anyone with knowledge on this nutrient please let me know what it's really for, and how to best use it? Thanks!

That's all for now folks!

Ha, I was just coming back to ask if you had a fan blowing near them.... I'd suggest thats your next point of call. Your gonna need the branches to strengthen themselves up ready for the buds. The addition of fresh flowing oxygen does wonders for your plants.

Just going back to your white dusty crap your finding on top of the soil, I get the same on a lot of my house plants that jst get watered straight from the tap, my diagnosis on my plants is it's just the minerals in the water settled on the top. Nothing to worry about really, it's not gonna harm your plants. If you don't already leave your tap water out to oxygenate for 24 hours start doing it now, it'll soon clear that up and you won't see it any more.

Best of luck dude.

Peace

hey thanks for that! I will try leaving it out for 24 hours like you said and see how that works -- ahhh  how about oxygenating the water as well, getting that pump they sell at the pet store for fish tanks, just set that in a bucket of water and have it oxygenating for 24 hrs as well - is that worth doing?

I will get a fan asap haha ive waited way too long to do that! :P

thanks again for the support my friend :)
