Update : Moved Grow Room

Hey guys,

News Update - I've decided to move the Grow Room from the Bathroom into the Spare Room - I've got the window open but the shutters closed - Theres really not that much light coming out of the box. Yes, I know.. it's a sad box - but it seems to be doing the job, thats all I care about at the end of the day, I don't have time I want to get a grow going so thats what I've done.

Only thing is:

I'm noticing heat... much more heat now with these 2 monster CFL's. My fan is broken so I'm going to have to go get one tomorrow asap - I'm guessing I'll just have the fan blowing from the outside into the box no?

Here are some pics :

Please tell me if the Purple Cheese looks like it's getting too hot - I'm a little worried to tell you the truth.

They look fine to me..do u want a bush or a tree? They seem slow growing at first then take off like a rocket dont worry .Just make sure its all green and you keep good feeding and you are golden:check:Heat how hot if its like 87 or lower should be ok but 88 and up getting into to hot zone.but mine like it right around 82.

I'm was under the impression whether it looks successful or not depends on the height... the leaves still seem small, their not really growing in size, just more leaves are developing - it's day 18 so im not sure if thats all thats supposed to be happening. Not much height difference though.

Basically my goal is to get atleast an ounce off of this.. is that possible with how it's looking?

Ah and also - what day does it usually start flowering so i Keep an extra eye out?

i have a diesel going, purple cheese, and just planted a skunk#1 fem from g13 labs in some moist soil.. hopefully it comes out... never tried this direct method before. i have an auto bomb, and magnum i plan to add to this thread - or is it recommended i open another journal per 2 plants or something? i dont mind having just one for all

Update: Day 19 Purple Cheese - Day 10 Diesel - NEW CFL ADDED

hello AFN!



I thought i would share some more pics i took of the setup at the moment as it is. - after i covered the front with the wooden boards with foil over them, temperature went up to 31.2 celcius - 88.6F!! -



I added a new CFL - Another 65 WATT (325 Equivalent WATT) but this time 2700K and another 3400 Lumens.



That and in addition have the 2 x T8's - 18 WATT EACH (Equivalent to 165 WATTS) and 2 other CFL's 65 WATT Again but the 6400K and 3400 Lumens each.

Is the temperature too high? Should I remove one of the boards and let the temp go down to like 83F? at the moment, ive left just one board and the foil in the middle - its at a steady 29 celciius - figure its safe to go to bed and leave it like that (84 F)



btw the temp in the pic was with all boards out from the front - thats 80F.

looking good bro nice clean setup, from what ive heard you dont want your temps to go above 85 degrees so if you have to leave it open a little i would, when my tent gets too hot because of my 600w hps i just unzip the front so some cool air can get in from my room :thumbs:
