Grow Mediums I want to try hydro, you want to do hydro with me?

Some of those pumps have a flow valve on the front make sure it is open all the way. You can just make sure the water level is just beneath the net pot and the bubble action will keep the rockwool moist - kinda tricky - don't let them stay soggy. also lift the pump up by using the power cord so it is not lifting the water very high?

I have to say the way im doing it they stay wet. Air bubbles all around em. All my starts are thriving. Like in the pic that's the bottom of my basket which stays submerged with alot of air pushing on em

Ahaa.. i made it stuck on the bottom of the rez! *shaking my head, looking down*
I did however open it allthe way, but we both know now what the problem was :smoking:
The bubbles bounces up and makes the clay pebbles moist... its almost like they are touching the water, but i think there is a small gap, 1/4 - 1/2 inch.

I would not use mylar under the plants. It can have hot spots and confuses the plant as to which way is up.

The mylar was to lower heat in the water, think i had 24, now its 22c/72F... they are under 2x600w hps, im pretty sure they feel were up is as im getting a tan when I'm there and fixing, but I understand how u mean. What else could I cover with..?

dug that one up for ya all. Any soil grower knows those big roots at the top of the soil feed the shit out your plant. I plan on making those roots huge keeping it just right in here

Yepp, but how about seedlings popped up the same Day? Can they have their 2-3cm root straight in Water?

Yep lol hold on ill try and dig em up. Till u get used to cloning ext and starting seeds use a container an inch tall an about four inches wide or whatever suits your needs. Start seeds. Dig under after they come up and a week goes by. Be very careful wash roots then insert into dwc.

Dagger: If you keep that crown wet like that you will be susceptible to crown rot even with Hydroguard. It happened to me twice before I figured out that I needed to lower the water level to let the crown dry out.

Rambo: sheets of styrofoam insulation foil side down will work; no hot spots, good insulation for the res, easy to work with, light and cheap.
