Extraction If I ultimately want to get resin and make ejuice, should I squish flower or hash?

I hardly ever use my grinder. I don't like combusting my weed to be honest. I used to. But not anymore. And while I have never dabbed, I've seen some vids that make me want to run far away from that shit. But if its vaporized, i would be interested. Bu the e-juice appeals to me the most.

Look into ISO, using isopropyl alcohol. Much safer, easy... if you allow it to purge, it's some high quality stuff... I'm like you, not interested in going boom!


I would assume, a good etho wash would be just as effective if purged down as well... plus the etho is food grade.

ok kewl. I have done ESO extraction before. It would be way easier than squishing. And that product for emulsifying is available where I live so that is very cool. And I have a nice plant about ready to harvest that has some nice hard sticky nugs on it. Thanks for the tips. I'm liking the direction this is going.

Purging is letting the alcohol evaporate. A couple days on the counter after "dry" usually works, or there's several other ways like a coffee warmer to help speed the process. I use a vacuum chamber with a heating pad.

Got a related question now Bunny. If you have nice hard dense bud, does bubble hash get much out of it? Do you have to break the buds down before? Do people even make bubble hash from good nugs? Or is that a bit of a waste. I know it's good for using up your trim, but I'm unclear on make hash from good nugs.

I have made bubble from buds if You have a nice amount . you have to break the buds up yes but don't grind the Trichomes. The resulting product is Amazing quality better than most BHO or standard bubble because of the quality resin on flowers instead of trim. Dabs like a dream full melt using just ice water. Yield is less than BHO or dry ice method but as you isolate only the Bolbus Trichomes heads 99% pure heads. Really better than people realise only 99% pure dry sift is better but much more technique is required to purify dry sift. Check out Bubbleman's world Laters

oh, I thought it was a cure after evaporate. I think I used a water bath to evaporate most off and then a fan and air dry.

Do you subscribe to the very quick wash like under a minute to get the honey good stuff and avoid the chlorophyll from a longer wash like RSO? I figure if I'm growing lots of primo bud for myself and I have more than I need, I might as well just do a short wash and get the best quality oil/shatter I can. Then convert to ejuice.

I was worried by dabbing with the high temps and blow torches got an enail instead. But soon realised that it was just flash vaporising high purity hash or oil. Tasty and healthy as you don't combust with low temp dabs and you ingest less because of the purity of dabs. For me there's nothing better than dabbing 99% pure heads made from ice water it's the solvents I avoid, though I buy the odd gram of good Well purged BHO, shatter in particular. Hey even the torch don't bother me these days lol

If your washing in Solvents everything needs to be as cold and quick as possible to avoid chlorophyll like you said and get the best quality. Even when using ice water as a solvent the first wash is gentle and quick so only the ripest and highest quality Trichomes are harvested together. The second and third washes you get more yield but less quality, laters dude happy extracting

Short wash. And do 2. Keep seperate. The first wash will be much more pure, the second is still good, but I use it for edibles. (Again, after a good long purge) first wash 30 seconds, second wash 1 minute.

Make shatter, and use a an emulsifier like this one. A gram of shatter makes about 4 ml of juice, can be some very potent stuff.
