I am just starting my first grow with #5 (5gal) air pots and from what others have been able to do I think 20%+ is a reasonable expectation for yeild increase. Mine came from cal-grow on the left coast for $101.00 (3 #5 and 5 #3) delivered to my door.

What I also noticed is that because there are more roots CAL/MAG def. is higher, because the roots eat sooo much xD so make sure to Epsom salt them and give to molasses helped me a lot

Cyklos welcome to AFN! I think though air pots are VERY WELL KNOWN AND LOVED on AFN. The sharing of info and things that you think helped your grow are always appreciated and welcomed... Even if it's not new to some it will be to many and for that :clap: if this post just turns one person onto air pots than it served it's purpose. I SWEAR by my air pots, have had similar results using smart pots (the fabric ones) it's just the smart pots are short compared to the airpots and autoflowers like room to grow their tap root downwards... I think the mechanism behind the pots is not so much of the roots starting for nutes etc but the simple method of the roots sense the light and the air and they actually grow back towards the center... I'm sure you noticed when you harvested and removed the dirt from the pot you probably had one bid solid mass of dirt and roots...
