It does not only depend on the type of led but also very much on the driving current.
for the 440, when its without driver and uv about 300W and it has 144 diodes, thats about 2W per diode.
SSL 80 e.g. hyperred is only very nice at 1W per diode, which is the "typical" value all over the datasheet.
Id say its still good, but nothing to be super enthusiastic about.
What puzzles me is that in that study the blackdog with its cheap 3W leds should be way beind the solarstorm with its osram. But its not.
Did Cali ever comment on that study?
