Hello all,

Kaveekz420 here new medicinal grower. I am very interested in all the resources available here for autoflower growers. Hoping to learn from others and help where I can. I am a complete newbie and I started off with some bagseed photoperiod plants which are doing well in veg. I am mainly experimenting with them to see what errors I make with coco coir, testing LST techniques on them as well. I have attached pictures of 2 of my 4 Northern light autoflowers which are currently on Day 15, pictures were taken yesterday. Wondering if anyone has some advice as to the white blotches I have on one of the 4 plants(2 pictured, the other 3 without problems look just like the healthy one there)? Sorry if I am jumping the gun to getting help, I am sure many others feel the same way with their first grows. I plan to have a full journal going once I get these in their final pots. I would like to know how one of my plants has these weird white blotches on it and the other 3 are doing fine?

Another question I have is testing runoff? I water the 4 plants daily in a big tilted saucer and then drain away with a water pump thing from as seen on tv. Wondering if I should water individually to test runoff or is combined between the 4 sharing the same source of water not going to make a big difference?

Some info about my grow:
Strain: Northern Lights Autoflower by Nirvana Seed co.
Space: 36x36x72 Apollo Grow tent
Light: Platinum LED PM4-XML2 https://platinumgrowlights.com/products/p4-xml2
Medium: Coco Coir (Currently in 18oz solo cups/ after 2 weeks from transplant moving to 2 Gallon Smart pots)
Nutrients: General Hydroponics Flora trio/ Rapidstart / Armor Si/ Calimagic

Appreciate any help that comes my way, and thank you for checking out my introduction.

Hello Kav,

Welcome to our little corner of the net. Thanks for doing an intro, I hope to see you around. eP.

Hello kav and welcome.just a pointer, I never repot autos and always start them in the pots they finish in. The reason being re potting can cause stress and stunt the plant as roots are very sensitive. Also the the cycle of an auto is set so you cannot choose when to hit the flower button so stunting can reduce your overall yield. Not everyone agrees but as a comparison I found no benefits from re potting. I have actually just germed a freebie northern lights auto from 00 seeds so I will be following this thread closely.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, I know that it is suggested never to transplant autoflowers however I am following growpotcheaply on youtube and although he states in his video about transplanting autos that he has been doing it for years and can get away with it due to experience I decided to give it a try since I had already made the mistake of putting them in solo cups to start with. Feeding everyday with nutes via hand feed and holy crap when I did the transplant there were so much more roots than my photoperiods in half the amount of time vegging. I gotta get that journal going but so busy with school and the release of fallout 4 XD. I also think the rapid start by GH had a lot to do with the rapid expansion of my roots in the solo cups. Glad they weren't root bound when I transplanted. Still can't figure out whats going on with one of my ladies having white patches, thought it was mildew but its like just a white discoloration that is super apparent in LED lighting but under regular lighting not as visible.

I've run Nirvana's NL, go easy on the nutes. The tall stretchy pheno especially, ran into cal mag issues though it was a good yielder. If you're spraying you plants with water during lights on it can cause spotting. Also don't let water pool on the top node.
