Been looking for an automated, in home drying unit for what feels like quite awhile now.

Must haves for me include 100% odor proof & humidity control.

Nice to haves include stealth appearance.

I'm seeing a handful of products on the market but very few with a fair amount of reviews. Someone surely makes a product of this sort for stealth drying purposes at home, no?

"100% odor proof" to me means that the device must be sealed and any exhausted air must be filtered. You may have to put whatever dryer you get within your tent or its own filtered tent, or connect its air output vent to your one of your tent's unused vents, etc.

What about the Wedryer is automated or relevant at all to GMEtotheMoon's interests? It seems totally counter to what is being sought. It's passive, stupid, no electronics or controls, just layered screening. Plus it's fully open/venting to the air; no odor control; apparently designed to be hung in a tent.

It's got a filter and fan, so not passive and it does attempt to mitigate odor. But you don't have any control over speed or humidity.

Works well for me, but it will kinda flatten buds if you don't rotate. Not an issue as I grow for myself and friends, but those looking for bag appeal should take note.

Yea unfortunately the unit absolutely MUST be climate controlled and odor proof.

I think you might need to invest in a second small tent just for drying. The wedryer has gotten some good reviews but yes, it's generally passive. I think @Kyote used one and said there was no smell and that the filter worked quite well.

I picked up a Wedryer XL as i needed more drying space. It has a charcoal filter which they say lasts 3 months. A fan pulls air from the bottom, up through the filter, then exhausted out the top. No humidity or temperature control.

IF a person wants to control all aspects of drying, a tent or room with humidity and temperature control, filter with exhaust, and air circulation would be the ticket.

Personal preference is hanging branches in a controlled environment :eek1:

This is it IMO. I was reluctant to deal with another tent, but adding one inline with my grow tent let me utilize the air handling I already had in place and drastically simplified the problems I was trying to solve for drying. If your tent is already smellproof & humidity controlled, your easiest (and cheapest) win is probably here.

Also: In Papa Cohen we trust. :pass:

Ah I totally forgot about this! I don't grow nearly enough to need anything like this but I may invest for the simple automation. I'm old, and stiff, and I'm always looking at how I can remove the weak link, myself, from the process.

$1600 is just a touch too steep for this hobbyist.... for now.....
